JOB DESCRIPTION
Senior Accountant
Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced and responsible Senior Accountant with 10–15 years of experience to manage the company's accounting operations, banking activities, salary-related work, expense management, and financial documentation. The candidate will be responsible for handling day-to-day accounting activities, managing a team, ensuring accurate financial entries, coordinating banking activities, and supporting management with accounting and financial information. The position will report directly to the Director.
Key Responsibilities
· Manage and oversee day-to-day accounting operations.
· Lead and supervise the accounts team and allocate daily responsibilities.
· Report directly to the Director regarding accounting, financial, banking, and expense-related matters.
· Handle accounting activities using Tally ERP / Tally Prime.
· Ensure accurate and timely daily entries for receipts, payments, purchases, expenses, and other transactions.
· Prepare and maintain Bank Reconciliation Statements (BRS).
· Handle day-to-day banking transactions and coordinate with banks.
· Monitor and manage daily office and operational expenses.
· Verify bills, invoices, vouchers, receipts, and supporting documents.
· Manage salary-related accounting and payroll activities in coordination with the HR team.
· Coordinate with HR regarding employee salary, attendance, deductions, and payroll-related information.
· Maintain employee-related financial records and documentation.
· Review the work and accounting entries prepared by team members.
· Ensure proper maintenance of accounting records and supporting documents.
· Monitor outstanding payments, receivables, and payables.
· Assist in monthly and yearly accounting closing activities.
· Prepare accounting and financial reports for management review.
· Coordinate with auditors, banks, vendors, and other external stakeholders.
· Ensure compliance with internal accounting procedures and company policies.
· Identify accounting discrepancies and take appropriate corrective action.
· Handle multiple accounting activities and ensure timely completion of tasks.
Required Skills
· Strong knowledge of Accounting and Finance.
· Extensive practical experience in Tally ERP / Tally Prime.
· Strong knowledge of BRS and banking-related work.
· Experience in salary and payroll-related accounting.
· Knowledge of HR-related financial activities.
· Robust understanding of daily expense management and accounting entries.
· Good knowledge of MS Excel and MS Office.
· Strong team-handling and leadership skills.
· Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
· Good communication and coordination skills.
· Ability to work independently and report directly to senior management.
Requirements
· Bachelor’s degree in Commerce / Accounting / Finance (B.Com preferred).
· 10–15 years of relevant accounting experience.
· Strong hands-on experience with Tally ERP / Tally Prime.
· Extensive experience in BRS and banking operations.
· Experience in salary/payroll-related accounting.
· Previous experience in team handling and supervision.
· Ability to independently manage accounting operations and guide the accounts team.
· Strong documentation and reporting skills.
· Ability to work closely with the Director and management team.
