Publicis Sapient is looking for Functional Testers to join our Portfolio & Trading team and help deliver high-quality solutions for leading capital-markets clients. You’ll apply your expertise in Equities and Fixed Income trading workflows to validate complex end-to-end trade lifecycles, APIs, and data across critical platforms. Working closely with developers, and business stakeholders, you’ll identify risks, drive defect resolution, and ensure reliable releases.

Your work will directly contribute to delivering resilient, client-focused trading solutions while continuously improving our testing practices through AI-enabled testing.

Your Impact

- Execute functional and manual testing across Equities and Fixed Income trading workflows, ensuring accurate validation of end-to-end trade lifecycle processes.
- Design and execute test scenarios, regression suites, and progression testing to identify defects early and support reliable production releases.
- Perform API testing using REST/SOAP, validating requests, responses, data integrity, and downstream system behavior across trading interfaces.
- Collaborate with developers, business stakeholders, and technology teams to clarify requirements, triage defects, and drive issues through resolution.
- Perform SQL-based data validation and reconciliation, using queries and joins to verify trade, position, and transaction data across systems.
- Analyze application logs and defect patterns to support root cause analysis, enabling faster resolution and improved test coverage.
- Contribute to Agile/Scrum delivery and AI-enabled testing practices,



leveraging tools such as ChatGPT/Claude for test design, defect analysis, and testing efficiency.

Qualifications Your Skills &

Experience

- - 4+ years of hands-on functional / manual testing (capital-markets domain strongly preferred).
- Capital-markets domain knowledge: Hands-on testing of Equities and Fixed Income (Bonds, Bond Forwards, Futures, Swaps) & understanding of the trading lifecycle
- API testing understanding: Comfortable with REST/SOAP contracts and request/response validation using tools like Postman or curl.
- Strong test craft: Test planning, regression and progression testing, basic test estimation, hands-on defect lifecycle and test metrics.
- Agile/Scrum: Working experience within sprint ceremonies and cadences.
- Communication, independence & stakeholder comfort drives tasks to completion and works directly with traders, developers, and stakeholders.
- Entry-level AI-for-STLC exposure: Has used Claude, ChatGPT, or similar for test-case generation or defect analysis (a learning mindset is acceptable).
- SQL (independent): Can write and run queries without help: SELECT, JOIN, WHERE, GROUP BY and basic joins.




- Defect triage & root cause analysis - person should understand how to do root cause analysis and have knowledge of understanding the logs.
- Employment stability: no more than 1 company change in the last 6 months; genuine long-term commitment on complex domain projects.

- Front-office / middle-office experience in an Asset Management firm.
- Automation exposure in Selenium with Java or Robot Framework with Python.
- Python scripting for test utilities, SQL queries, or simple automation (scripting level comfort; no framework needed).
