Why This Role

- Real ownership. You will be the single point of ownership for QA across the platform, setting strategy, standards, and release gates.
- Build from scratch. You will design automation frameworks with Playwright and TypeScript and make the architectural decisions.
- Hands-on AI in testing. You will configure AI agents to generate test cases, use AI for coverage analysis and defect triage, and define the guardrails that keep it reliable.
- Influence beyond testing. You will review requirements and architecture, support release decisions, and shape engineering standards and quality culture.

What You'll Do

- Define and maintain the testing strategy, quality standards, and release gates, and drive shift-left practices.
- Build Playwright and TypeScript automation frameworks from scratch, with reporting, parallel execution,



and reusable components designed to scale.
- Develop AI-assisted testing workflows. Configure AI agents to generate test cases, use AI for coverage analysis and defect triage, and govern AI-generated artifacts.
- Design contract and integration tests between microservices to protect API schema and backward compatibility across releases.
- Integrate automation into CI/CD with quality gates, automated security checks, and pipeline health and automation metrics.
- Select and implement performance testing tools, define NFRs and SLAs, set baselines, and detect and prevent performance regressions.
- Work with Engineering, Product, and Architecture to review requirements and architecture, raise risks early, and support release and production-readiness decisions.
- Mentor engineers on QA and AI-assisted testing, and drive adoption of modern testing approaches.

What We're Looking For

- Strong hands-on experience with Playwright and TypeScript.
- A track record of building automation frameworks from scratch.
- Practical experience applying AI to testing, with a clear view of the guardrails it needs.
- Experience with contract and integration testing in a microservices environment.
- Experience integrating automation into CI/CD pipelines with quality gates.
- Performance engineering experience, from tool selection to regression prevention.
- The ability to influence stakeholders, raise risks early, and mentor engineers.
