Role Description The Security Architect is a full-time, on-site role based in Hyderabad, responsible for designing and overseeing secure architectures for IIB’s data repositories, web services, and applications. The role includes assessing security requirements, defining security controls, and developing architecture standards and patterns aligned with regulatory and industry best practices. Day-to-day activities involve conducting security reviews and threat modeling for applications and networks, collaborating with technology and operations teams to mitigate risks, and ensuring secure integration of new systems and services.
The Security
Architect will monitor and improve cybersecurity posture, support incident response activities,
and contribute to policies and guidelines related to information security and data protection. This position requires proactive engagement with stakeholders to balance usability, performance, and security across IIB’s technology landscape.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess solid skills in Security Architecture Design, including creating secure reference architectures, defining security controls, and aligning designs with regulatory and organizational requirements.
- Candidates should possess skills in Application Security, such as secure coding principles, threat modeling for applications, code and design reviews, and integration of security testing into the development lifecycle.
- Candidates should possess skills in Cybersecurity, including risk assessment, vulnerability management, incident response support, and familiarity with current threat landscapes and mitigation strategies.
- Candidates should possess skills in Network Security, covering secure network design, segmentation, firewall and VPN configuration, intrusion detection/prevention, and monitoring of network traffic.
- Candidates should possess skills in Information Security, including policy development, data protection, access control, compliance with relevant standards (e.g., ISO 27001), and governance practices.
- Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CCSP, or equivalent are highly beneficial.
- Experience working with large-scale data environments, preferably in financial services or insurance, is an advantage.
- Strong analytical, communication, and documentation skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams on-site.
