About the RoleWe are looking for a passionate and student-focused Academic Counsellor to join our team in Chennai. The ideal candidate should have a strong academic background in Psychology, good counselling skills, and a sound understanding of psychometric assessments.

The candidate will be responsible for guiding students in making informed academic and career decisions based on their interests, strengths, aptitude, and assessment results.

Key Responsibilities

- Conduct one-on-one academic and career counselling sessions with students.
- Understand students' academic performance, interests, strengths, and career aspirations.
- Conduct and interpret psychometric, aptitude, personality, and career assessments.
- Explain assessment results to students and parents and provide suitable academic and career recommendations.
- Guide students on subject selection, stream selection, courses, colleges, and career pathways.
- Develop personalised academic and career action plans for students.
- Conduct counselling sessions, workshops, and career awareness sessions.
- Maintain accurate records of counselling sessions, assessments, and student progress.
- Interact with students,



parents, teachers, and school stakeholders.
- Stay updated with new courses, career opportunities, entrance examinations, and higher education trends.
- Ensure a positive and supportive counselling experience for every student.

Required Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor's/Master's degree in Psychology, Counselling Psychology, or a related field – Mandatory.
- 1–3 years of relevant experience in academic counselling, career counselling, student counselling, or a similar role.
- Positive understanding of psychometric assessments and their interpretation.
- Strong counselling, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to connect with students and understand their individual needs.
- Good knowledge of academic and career pathways.
- Strong presentation and interpersonal skills.
- Empathetic, patient, and student-focused approach.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with a team.

- Compensation₹30,000–₹40,000 per month, depending on experience, skills, and suitability for the role.
