Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced SAP MM Lead to lead Production Support activities for critical business operations, ensuring timely resolution of P1 and P2 priority incidents while driving continuous improvement across the SAP landscape.

The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in SAP Materials Management (MM), strong leadership capabilities, and extensive experience managing production support teams in a 24x7 environment. The role involves collaborating with business stakeholders, technical teams, and cross-functional consultants to ensure business continuity, SLA compliance, and high customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

Production Support Leadership

- Lead the SAP MM Production Support team and oversee day-to-day support activities.
- Manage and coordinate resolution of P1 and P2 priority incidents within defined SLA timelines.
- Act as the primary escalation point for critical production issues.
- Ensure timely communication with business stakeholders during major incidents.
- Drive incident prioritization, triage, and resource allocation.

SAP MM Functional Leadership

- Provide expert support for core SAP MM processes, including:
- Procurement
- Purchase Requisitions
- Purchase Orders
- Goods Receipt / Goods Issue
- Invoice Verification
- Inventory Management
- Material Master
- Vendor Master
- Stock Transfers
- Subcontracting
- Consignment
- Batch Management
- Troubleshoot complex production issues affecting procurement and inventory operations.
- Ensure smooth integration between SAP MM and FI, SD, PP, WM/EWM, QM, and Ariba where applicable.

Incident & Problem Management

- Lead Root Cause Analysis (RCA) sessions for recurring incidents.
- Develop preventive and corrective action plans.




- Monitor incident trends and recommend long-term improvements.
- Drive Problem Management activities following ITIL best practices.
- Ensure adherence to SLAs, KPIs, and support governance.

Configuration & Change Management

- Review and approve configuration changes.
- Support business change requests and enhancements.
- Validate functional specifications for custom developments.
- Coordinate transport management across Development, QA, UAT, and Production environments.
- Support testing activities including SIT, UAT, and regression testing.

Stakeholder & Team Management

- Collaborate with business users, project managers, and technical teams.
- Lead daily support meetings and incident review calls.
- Mentor junior consultants and provide technical guidance.
- Conduct knowledge-sharing sessions and technical coaching.
- Ensure effective workload distribution across the support team.

Documentation & Compliance

- Maintain knowledge articles, SOPs, and support documentation.
- Prepare incident reports, RCA documents, and service review reports.
- Ensure compliance with ITIL processes and organizational governance.
- Participate in audits and process improvement initiatives.

Continuous Improvement

- Identify opportunities for automation and process optimization.
- Recommend improvements to procurement and inventory processes.




- Drive service excellence initiatives to improve support quality and customer satisfaction.
- Stay current with SAP S/4HANA innovations and industry best practices.

Required Skills

- 10–15 years of SAP MM functional consulting and production support experience.
- Robust leadership experience managing SAP support teams.
- Extensive experience handling P1/P2 production incidents.

- Strong understanding of ITIL Incident, Problem, and Change Management.

Preferred Skills

- Experience with SAP S/4HANA Materials Management.
- Knowledge of SAP Ariba integration.
- Experience supporting SAP Fiori applications.
- Exposure to SAP EWM and Logistics Execution.
- ITIL Foundation Certification.
- SAP MM Certification.
- Experience leading offshore/onshore support teams.
- Experience in automation and continuous service improvement initiatives.

Education

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or a related field.
- SAP MM Certification is preferred.
