SAP PLM Functional Consultant / Lead

We are looking for an experienced SAP PLM Functional Consultant / Lead with 6–8 years of experience to drive the design, implementation, optimization, and functional support of SAP Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) solutions.

The ideal candidate should have strong functional expertise across SAP PLM processes, experience integrating PLM with SAP S/4HANA and external enterprise applications, and the ability to translate complex technical processes into transparent, user-friendly documentation and training materials.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead the functional design and implementation of SAP PLM solutions across the product lifecycle.
- Understand business requirements and translate them into scalable SAP PLM solutions.
- Work on SAP PLM processes including:
- Specification Management
- Recipe Development (RD)
- Change Management (CM)
- Document Management System (DMS)
- Portfolio & Project Management (PPM)
- BOM Management & Product Structure
- Conduct business requirement workshops, fit-gap analysis, and process harmonization.
- Design and support integrations between SAP PLM, SAP S/4HANA, and external applications.
- Define integration approaches using APIs, IDocs, middleware, and SAP integration technologies.
- Collaborate with technical teams, solution architects, business stakeholders, and third-party vendors.
- Support solution governance, functional documentation, change management, and user adoption.
- Develop clear process documentation, instructional guides,



and user training materials.
- Translate complex SAP architecture and workflows into easy-to-understand, step-by-step user guidance.
- Support testing, deployment, hypercare, and continuous process improvements.
- Ensure solutions align with enterprise architecture, compliance requirements, and industry best practices.

Must-Have Skills
- 6–8 years of SAP PLM functional experience.
- Strong experience with SAP PLM / Product Lifecycle Management.
- Hands-on functional knowledge of:
- DMS
- BOM Management
- Product Structure
- Change Management
- Specification Management
- Experience with SAP S/4HANA integration.
- Understanding of SAP integration technologies such as APIs, IDocs, and middleware.
- Experience in large-scale ERP implementations / global digital transformation projects.
- Strong process modelling and documentation skills.
- Experience with Signavio, Visio, or similar process-modelling tools.
- Ability to convert technical workflows into clear user guides and instructional documentation.
- Strong stakeholder management and workshop facilitation skills.
- Excellent communication and functional leadership capabilities.

Good to Have
- Experience with Recipe Development (RD).
- Experience with Portfolio & Project Management (PPM).
- SAP PLM user training / enablement experience.
- Experience working with global stakeholders and distributed teams.
- SAP S/4HANA implementation or transformation experience.
