Role Description The Restaurant Manager role at Merlis Hotels Coimbatore is a full time, on-site position based in Coimbatore.

The Restaurant

Manager oversees daily restaurant operations, including supervising staff, coordinating service, and ensuring smooth food and beverage delivery. This role involves managing reservations, monitoring dining room standards, addressing guest feedback, and maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.

Manager is responsible for staff scheduling, training, and performance guidance, as well as working with the kitchen team to ensure menu consistency, quality, and hygiene standards.



The position also includes managing inventory, controlling costs, supporting basic budgeting activities, and enforcing safety and compliance policies.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong skills in Customer Service and Customer Satisfaction.
- Candidates should possess effective Communication skills for interacting with guests and team members.
- Candidates should possess experience in Hiring and supervising restaurant or hospitality staff.
- Candidates should possess knowledge and practical experience in Food & Beverage operations.
- Additional beneficial qualifications include prior experience as a Restaurant Manager or in hotel food & beverage, familiarity with basic budgeting and inventory control, and understanding of hygiene and safety regulations.
- A diploma or degree in Hospitality Management or a related field is preferred, along with the ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
- Knowing Tamil language is an added advantage.
