Role Description The Research Development Mechanical Engineer role at Orbiverse is a full time, on-site position based in Hyderabad. The individual in this role will design, analyze, and develop mechanical components and systems that support game-related hardware, prototypes, or interactive installations. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting research and development activities, performing mechanical and machine design calculations, creating detailed CAD models and technical drawings, and collaborating closely with cross-functional teams such as software, electronics, and design.

The role also involves testing and validating mechanical designs, troubleshooting performance issues, documenting findings,



and continuously improving designs based on research insights and user feedback.

Qualifications

- Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret complex technical data and performance metrics.
- Proficiency in Research and Development (R&D;) and Research methodologies relevant to mechanical systems and prototypes.
- Foundation in Mechanical Engineering principles, including materials, mechanics, and thermal considerations.
- Experience with Machine Design, including creating and optimizing mechanical components and assemblies.
- Hands-on experience with CAD tools (e.g., SolidWorks, CATIA, or similar) and engineering simulation software.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related discipline.
- Ability to work collaboratively in multidisciplinary teams and communicate technical concepts clearly.
- Familiarity with rapid prototyping, testing procedures, and manufacturing processes is beneficial.
- Interest in the gaming industry and interactive hardware or experiential installations is an advantage.
