Role Description This full-time, on-site Relationship Manager role is based in Thoothukudi.

The Relationship

Manager will build and maintain strong relationships with bank staff and customers to drive sales of life insurance products and support business growth. Daily responsibilities include identifying customer needs, presenting suitable insurance solutions, assisting with applications and documentation, and ensuring timely policy issuance and servicing. The role involves achieving sales and productivity targets, conducting regular customer follow-ups, organizing customer meetings or small events, and maintaining accurate records and reports.

Manager will also collaborate closely with branch teams, adhere to compliance and regulatory standards, and provide feedback from the field to improve products and customer experience.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong relationship-building and customer service skills, with the ability to communicate clearly, listen actively, and manage client expectations.
- Candidates should possess sales and business development skills, including achieving targets, identifying cross-selling opportunities, and converting leads into long-term business.
- Candidates should possess basic financial and insurance product understanding, with the ability to explain life insurance solutions in a simple and accurate manner.
- Candidates should possess planning, time management, and organizational skills to handle multiple customer interactions, maintain documentation, and prepare regular reports.
- Candidates should possess proficiency in using standard office tools and digital platforms for reporting, communication, and customer data management.
- Graduate degree in any discipline; a specialization in finance, business, or related fields is an advantage.
- Prior experience in banking, financial services, or insurance sales is preferred; fresh graduates with strong aptitude and interest in sales may also be considered.
- Comfort working in office at bank branches in Thoothukudi, with the flexibility to travel locally as required.
