Job Purpose:

We are looking for an experienced Project Manager to take end-to-end responsibility for executing Wind-Solar Hybrid Renewable Energy Projects, including Wind Plants, Solar Plants, BESS Systems, Transmission Lines, Substations, and Grid Evacuation infrastructure.

The candidate will be responsible for end-to-end project management and hands-on site execution, including project planning, engineering, procurement, construction, contractor management, resource planning, cost control, quality, HSE, commissioning, grid synchronisation, and final project handover.

The ideal candidate should have 8–10 years of experience in the Renewable Energy industry, preferably with solid experience in Wind Power Projects, along with adequate exposure to Solar PV, electrical evacuation, transmission lines and substations.

The candidate must be capable of independently managing multiple project work fronts and site teams, coordinating with OEMs, EPC contractors, consultants, vendors, statutory authorities and internal departments.

Key Responsibilities:

End-to-End Project Management:

- Take complete ownership of the project from project planning to commercial operation and final handover.
- Develop and execute the overall Project Execution Plan covering Wind, Solar, Transmission Line and Substation packages.
- Establish project objectives, milestones, deliverables, timelines, resources and execution strategy.
- Manage the project with a clear focus on Time, Cost, Quality, HSE and Scope.
- Monitor overall project performance and take corrective actions to ensure timely completion.
- Identify project risks, constraints, interfaces and dependencies and develop mitigation plans.
- Provide regular project status reports and MIS to senior management.

Site Execution & Construction Management:

- Lead the day-to-day site execution of the complete hybrid renewable energy project.
- Plan and supervise construction activities across multiple work fronts.
- Ensure availability and optimum utilisation of manpower, machinery, materials and other site resources.
- Monitor actual site progress against approved project schedules.
- Resolve day-to-day technical, construction, contractor and interface issues.
- Ensure construction activities are executed as per approved drawings, specifications, method statements and quality standards.
- Conduct regular site inspections and progress reviews.
- Maintain close coordination with Site Engineers, Construction Managers, Contractors, OEMs and Consultants.
- Ensure timely completion of civil, mechanical and electrical works.

Wind Plant Execution

- Execution of Wind Plant and associated Balance of Plant activities.
- Coordinate WTG foundation, roads, crane pads, internal electrical network and associated civil works.
- Coordinate WTG transportation, erection, installation, testing and commissioning.




- Manage WTG OEM and associated contractors.
- Monitor turbine erection and commissioning schedules.
- Coordinate resolution of technical and construction issues with OEMs.
- Ensure timely achievement of WTG installation and commissioning milestones.

Solar Plant Execution

- Manage execution of the Solar PV Plant, including:

a) Site development and civil works b) Foundations and structures c) Module installation d) Inverters e) DC/AC cabling f) HT/LT systems g) SCADA and communication systems h) Testing and commissioning
- Coordinate with Solar EPC contractors and equipment suppliers.
- Monitor material availability and construction progress.
- Ensure timely completion and integration of the Solar Plant with the overall hybrid project.

Transmission Line & Substation Execution

- Manage construction and commissioning of the project's power evacuation system.
- Supervise transmission line activities including: Survey and route finalisation, Tower foundation. Tower erection, Stringing, Testing and commissioning.
- Coordinate substation civil and electrical works.
- Monitor installation of transformers, switchgear, protection systems, control panels, SCADA, metering and associated systems.
- Coordinate testing, commissioning and energisation activities.
- Coordinate with relevant grid authorities and utilities for connectivity and synchronisation.

Project Planning & Scheduling:

- Develop and maintain the Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) for the complete project.
- Integrate Wind, Solar, Transmission Line, Substation, Engineering, Procurement and Commissioning schedules.
- Establish project baseline, milestones, dependencies and critical path.
- Monitor planned vs. actual progress and identify schedule deviations.
- Develop recovery plans for delayed activities.
- Prepare daily, weekly and monthly project schedules and look-ahead plans.
- Conduct regular schedule review meetings with contractors and internal teams.

Project Management Software & Digital Tools:

The candidate must have strong practical knowledge of project management and ERP tools.

- MS Project (MSP): Project planning, scheduling, dependencies and progress tracking.
- Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central: Procurement, material, vendor, project and cost-related tracking, as applicable.
- MS Excel / PowerPoint: Advanced MIS, data analysis, dashboards and management presentations.
- Responsibilities include:
- Develop and maintain the complete project schedule in MSP/Business Central.
- Track project progress.
- Monitor critical and near-critical activities.
- Track engineering deliverables, procurement, material deliveries, construction and commissioning.
- Maintain action trackers and responsibility matrices through ClickUp or equivalent platforms.
- Coordinate project information between Site, Engineering, Procurement, Commercial, Finance and Management teams.
- Prepare comprehensive weekly and monthly Project MIS.
- Develop project dashboards for management review.

Engineering & Procurement Coordination:

- Coordinate with Engineering teams for timely release of drawings,



specifications and technical documents.
- Monitor engineering deliverables against project requirements.
- Coordinate with Procurement for timely purchase and delivery of critical equipment and materials.
- Monitor long-lead items and identify potential supply-chain risks.
- Ensure material availability at site in line with the construction schedule.
- Coordinate with vendors/OEMs for technical and delivery issues.

Contractor & Vendor Management:

- Manage EPC contractors, WTG OEMs, Solar EPC contractors, civil contractors, electrical contractors and other vendors.
- Monitor contractor performance against contractual commitments.
- Ensure adequate manpower, equipment and resources at site.
- Review contractor schedules and mobilisation plans.
- Conduct regular contractor performance reviews.
- Resolve technical, commercial and execution-related issues.
- Ensure contractor compliance with project quality and HSE requirements.

Cost & Commercial Management:

- Monitor project expenditure against the approved project budget.
- Track committed cost, actual cost and forecast cost.
- Identify cost overruns and potential commercial risks.
- Coordinate with Commercial/Contracts and Finance teams.
- Monitor variations, change orders and contractor claims.
- Ensure project execution remains within approved budget.

Quality Management:

- Ensure all construction activities comply with approved specifications, drawings and quality plans.
- Coordinate with QA/QC teams for inspections and testing.
- Monitor quality of civil, mechanical and electrical works.
- Ensure timely closure of NCRs, observations and punch points.
- Ensure proper documentation of inspection and testing activities.

HSE Management:

- Ensure strict implementation of company HSE policies and project safety requirements.
- Ensure contractors comply with statutory and project-specific safety standards.
- Conduct regular site safety reviews.
- Monitor high-risk activities such as WTG erection, heavy lifting, electrical works, transmission-line erection and commissioning.
- Promote a strong safety culture across the project site.

Stakeholder & Statutory Coordination:

- Coordinate with project consultants, OEMs, EPC contractors, government authorities and local stakeholders.
- Coordinate with DISCOM/STU/CTU/grid authorities, if required.
- Support statutory approvals, permits, inspections and clearances.
- Resolve land, right-of-way and local execution issues in coordination with relevant teams.

Testing, Commissioning & Grid Synchronisation:

- Lead coordination of testing and commissioning of Wind, Solar, substation, and Transmission systems.
- Develop commissioning plans and schedules. Coordinate pre-commissioning checks, testing and energisation.
- Coordinate grid synchronisation and evacuation system readiness.
- Ensure punch-point closure before project handover.
- Ensure complete project documentation and as-built records.
- Coordinate final handover to the Operations & Maintenance team.

Candidate Profile:

Essential Experience:

- 8–10 years of experience in Renewable Energy Projects.
- Strong experience in Wind Power Plant execution is mandatory/preferred.
- Experience in Transmission Line and Substation execution will be highly desirable.
- Experience in Wind-Solar Hybrid Projects will be an added advantage.

Essential Qualification:

- B.E. / B .Tech in Electrical / Civil/ Mechanical Engineering.
