Key Responsibilities:
- Provide overall leadership for the end-to-end project lifecycle, from pre-construction and design through construction, commissioning, start-up and final handover.
- Act as the primary interface between the client, designers, consultants, contractors, equipment vendors and other project stakeholders.
- Lead and coordinate multidisciplinary packages including civil, structural, architectural, MEP, cleanroom, utilities, process-support infrastructure and external infrastructure.
- Drive development and implementation of the Project Execution Plan, procurement strategy, construction strategy, master schedule and project controls framework.
- Manage design development and ensure effective coordination between architectural, engineering, process and construction requirements.
- Oversee procurement and contractor management, including bid packages, technical/commercial evaluations, contract administration and vendor performance.
- Monitor overall project schedule, cost, quality, safety, risk and progress, proactively identifying potential delays or constraints and implementing mitigation measures.
- Lead construction management activities and ensure contractors deliver in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, contractual requirements and project milestones.
- Drive interface management between base-build construction, cleanroom systems, facility utilities, process/tool requirements and equipment installation.
- Ensure strict adherence to EHS and quality standards, promoting a strong safety and quality culture throughout project execution.
- Manage project risks, change control, claims, variations and commercial issues in coordination with relevant project teams.
- Conduct project reviews and provide clear reporting to senior client leadership on progress, schedule, cost, risks, decisions and key priorities.
- Lead commissioning, system integration, testing, punch-list closure and handover activities in coordination with client operations and technical teams.
- Build and lead a high-performing PMC team while ensuring explicit accountability across disciplines and work packages.
Qualification & Experience:
- 18+ years of overall experience in project/construction management, with substantial experience delivering large-scale and technically complex industrial projects.
- Degree in Civil / Construction Engineering or related discipline. Postgraduate qualification in Project/Construction Management would be advantageous.
- Semiconductor FAB / semiconductor manufacturing project experience is highly preferred.
- Strong PMC / EPCM / Owner’s Representative / Project Management Consulting experience is highly desirable.
- Candidates from large-scale heavy industrial or advanced manufacturing projects with comparable project complexity may also be considered.
- Demonstrated experience managing projects through design, procurement, construction, commissioning and handover.
- Strong understanding of project controls, scheduling, cost management, contracts, procurement, risk management, EHS and quality management.
- Experience managing multiple contractors, consultants, vendors and multidisciplinary engineering teams.
- Strong knowledge of complex industrial facility interfaces, particularly MEP, utilities, clean environments and equipment-intensive facilities, would be advantageous.
- Excellent leadership, stakeholder management, communication, negotiation and decision-making skills.
- Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, schedule-driven and technically complex project environment.
