Role Description The Project Coordinator is a full-time, on-site role based in Tamil Nadu, India. This role is responsible for planning, coordinating, and monitoring project activities across Sevalaya’s focus areas, ensuring that timelines, budgets, and quality standards are met. Day-to-day tasks include liaising with internal teams and external partners, organizing field activities and events, maintaining accurate documentation and reports, and tracking project progress against defined goals and indicators.
The Project
Coordinator will support data collection, stakeholder communication,
and resource allocation, while identifying risks and suggesting corrective actions. The role also involves preparing regular updates for management, contributing to proposals, and ensuring alignment with Sevalaya’s mission and compliance requirements.
Qualifications
- Strong project coordination skills, including planning, scheduling, and monitoring activities.
- Ability to maintain transparent documentation, prepare reports, and manage data related to project performance.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to work with beneficiaries, partners, and internal teams.
- Organizational and time-management abilities to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Basic proficiency in office productivity tools (such as word processing, spreadsheets, and presentations).
- Experience in the social sector, community development, or nonprofit projects is an advantage.
- Bachelor’s degree in social work, development studies, management, or a related field preferred.
- Comfort working on-site in rural or semi-urban locations within Tamil Nadu and willingness to travel as needed.
