The institute has a long legacy of producing leaders in engineering and technology and increasingly applies emerging technologies, including Mining, Artificial Intelligence, Big Data and Unmanned Aircraft Systems, to industrial and societal challenges.The Drone Electronics Lab in the Department of Electronics Engineering conducts research and development in UAV and drone technology. Its work spans electronics design, embedded systems, sensing, communication and autonomous flight, and it supports national capacity building in drones through a MeitY-sponsored project.

Role Description The Project Assistant role is a temporary, on-site position based at IIT(ISM), Dhanbad. The candidate will be involved in activities related to UAV and drone electronics technology, including product development, fabrication and testing, organization and execution of training programmes and bootcamps,



assistance in laboratory activities, technical documentation, portal updating, and other assigned activities related to UAV product development, manpower development, and research in drone and drone electronics.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Science (PCM)/3 years Diploma in Electronics Engineering or higher degree as per the following criterion:

- The candidates must have a good academic background and knowledge/skills in one or more of the following areas: Electronics and electronic circuits, embedded systems, microcontrollers, sensors and instrumentation, programming, UAV/drone technology, circuit assembly and testing and hardware troubleshooting
- Positive communication skills
- Prior experience in drone technology, project support, or research assistance, within academic or technical environments will be beneficial.
