About us
GenAirate builds SnapLine, an AI-powered submission intelligence platform for the insurance industry. Brokers send underwriters a constant stream of emails, PDFs, spreadsheets and scanned documents. SnapLine turns that mess into structured, decision-ready data, so underwriters can assess risk faster and with confidence.
We started in the Lloyd's and London Market and are now expanding into US specialty insurance. We are a small team working with serious enterprise customers, and we hold SOC 2 Type 2, ISO 27001 and ISO 42001 certifications.
The role
Our users are underwriters reviewing complex submissions under real time pressure. Every screen we design has to help them find the right information, trust it, and act on it quickly. We are looking for a product design intern who enjoys that kind of problem: dense data, real workflows, and design decisions that have a measurable impact.
You will work closely with our design lead and engineering team, and your work will ship to real users.
What you will do
- Design and iterate on core SnapLine workflows, such as reviewing extracted data against source documents
- Turn messy, information-heavy screens into clear, usable interfaces
- Build and extend components in our Figma design system
- Create clickable prototypes and test ideas quickly
- Join user research sessions and turn feedback into design improvements
- Work with engineers to make sure designs are built as intended
What we are looking for
- A portfolio with case studies that show your process, not just final screens
- Solid Figma skills, including auto layout, components and variants
- Interest in B2B, enterprise or data-heavy products (dashboards, fintech, internal tools)
- A good grasp of information hierarchy, usability and accessibility basics
- Clear written and spoken English, and comfort asking questions about a domain you are still learning
- Final-year students or recent graduates from design, HCI or related programmes are welcome to apply
Nice to have
- Basic HTML/CSS, or experience prototyping with AI tools
- Prior work on forms, tables, document viewers or complex workflows
- Any exposure to insurance, finance or other regulated industries (not required, we will teach you)
What you get
- Real ownership of features used by underwriters in the London Market and the US
- Mentorship from an experienced design lead and direct access to the founding team
- A front-row seat to how AI products are built for enterprise customers
- Potential for a full-time role based on performance
How to apply
Send your portfolio and a short note about a design problem you are proud of solving to
[email protected], or apply here on LinkedIn. We read every application.
