Job : Presales Consultant – BigFix & IT Operations

Location: India (Remote / Hybrid – Major Hubs: Bengaluru, Mumbai, NCR, Pune, Hyderabad)

Experience Level: 12+ years of relevant IT experience (Minimum 5+ years in a technical Presales / Solution Architect role)

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly strategic and technically adept Presales Architect specializing in HCL BigFix and broader Enterprise IT Infrastructure management to drive our growth in the Indian enterprise market.

In this role, you will serve as the trusted technical advisor to our enterprise clients, partners, and internal sales teams. You will design, present, and demonstrate robust architectures that solve complex challenges across endpoint management, security compliance, IT service workflows, and cross-platform infrastructure visibility.

The individual will perform in a technical pre-sales and post sales role for Big Fix with Clients. They will be expected to attend meetings with potential Clients to determine the technical and business requirements and ensuring that all necessary information is collated prior to producing a solution. They will be the accountable for providing the technical solutions in a skilled manner and to agreed timeframes.

They will be expected to deliver short-term BigFix professional services if required. They will work continuously on the long term success of the account in concert with other HCL employees and partners.

Core Responsibilities

- Solution Design & Architecture: Architect enterprise-scale HCL BigFix topologies (including relays, servers, and database scaling) integrated with broader IT management ecosystems for large-scale Indian enterprises and global delivery hubs.
- Technical Presales Leadership: Lead technical discovery sessions, deliver high-impact product demonstrations, and manage complex Proof of Concepts (PoCs) to prove business value to C-level executives (CIOs, CISOs) and technical stakeholders.
- RFP & Proposal Management: Own the technical response for RFPs, RFIs, and RFQs, translating intricate technical specifications into clear, value-driven business solutions.
- Cross-Domain Integration:



Design technical blueprints that seamlessly connect endpoint data with wider IT service, operations, identity, and monitoring frameworks.
- Market & Partner Enablement: Collaborated with system integrators (SIs) and channel partners across India to enable them technically and scale pipeline velocity.

Key Technical Domain Expertise

- Unified Endpoint Management (UEM): Deep technical command of HCL BigFix (Lifecycle, Patch, Inventory) across diverse OS environments (Windows, macOS, Linux, AIX). Proven ability to solve complex patching, software distribution, and asset lifecycle management challenges at scale.
- ITSM & ITOM Integration: Strong experience aligning endpoint data with IT Service Management (ITSM) and IT Operations Management (ITOM) platforms (e.g., ServiceNow, BMC Helix, Jira Service Management). Expertise in streamlining configuration management databases (CMDB) data accuracy and automating incident/change triggers based on endpoint states.
- Security Compliance & Vulnerability Management: Proficient in designing automated compliance architectures using frameworks like CIS Benchmarks, NIST, or ISO 27001. Expert knowledge in leveraging BigFix Compliance to rapidly detect, remediate, and report configuration drift and zero-day vulnerabilities.
- Identity & Access Management (IAM): Solid understanding of how endpoint compliance data feeds into IAM and Zero Trust architectures. Experience positioning secure access solutions, directory services integration (AD, Azure AD/Entra ID), and ensuring only compliant, authenticated devices gain network access.
- Observability & Monitoring: Familiarity with integrating endpoint telemetry into enterprise Observability pipelines (e.g., Splunk, Datadog, Dynatrace, New Relic) to provide proactive insights into digital employee experience (DEX) and infrastructure health.

Qualifications & Skills Required

- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
- Technical Certifications: HCL BigFix professional certifications are highly desirable. Certifications in ITIL v4,



AWS/Azure Architecture, CISSP, or relevant IAM/Observability platforms are a massive plus.
- Industry Experience: Prior experience selling into large Indian verticals (BFSI, Manufacturing, Telecom, Healthcare, or major Global Capability Centres/GCCs).
- Communication Style: Exceptional presentation and articulation skills in English, with the unique ability to bridge the gap between highly technical engineers and business-focused executives.
- Travel: Willingness to travel across India for strategic client meetings and industry events as required

- To mentor, organize, report for, and lead team of Technical Advisor peers
- To attend meetings with potential Clients to determine technical and business requirements and ensuring that all necessary information is collated prior to producing a solution
- Provide technical solutions in a professional manner and to agreed timeframes
- Create and confidently deliver technical presentations internally and externally
- Deliver training on solutions and provide product support to channel partners and internal stakeholders
- Create internal design configuration documentation including network diagrams with technical explanations
- Work with Product Management and Engineering to provide feedback on issues with current products and provide input around new products
- Builds productive relationships internally and externally, fostering teamwork by keeping colleagues updated on activities
- Perform technical development for solutions as part of a design and development framework
- Able to understand business drivers and risks involved to the customer
- Sell technical solutions to the customer with professionalism and enthusiasm
- Provide accurate and timely management information, to include - activity reports, bid reviews, project forecasts, KPI’s
- Create technical demos and enable product sellers.
