The Opportunity
Are you passionate about Physics and motivated to make a meaningful impact on students’ academic journeys?
We are looking for a dedicated Physics Subject Lead Coach who can deliver engaging, personalised online Physics lessons while supporting students in achieving their academic goals.
In this role, you will provide one-to-one and group tutoring, monitor student progress, develop learning resources, support academic improvements, and contribute to Learnfluid’s innovative approach to online education.
You will work as part of a collaborative academic team that values personalisation, collaboration, and technology-driven learning.
What You’ll Do
Online Physics Teaching
- Deliver high-quality one-to-one and group Physics classes through Learnfluid’s online platform.
- Teach Physics concepts aligned with student curriculum requirements (KS3, GCSE, AS Level, and A-Level).
- Create engaging lessons that develop conceptual understanding, problem-solving ability, and exam preparation skills.
- Provide personalised instruction based on each student’s learning goals and needs.
Student Progress & Assessment
- Monitor student learning progress through homework, assignments, quizzes, tests, and assessments.
- Analyse student performance and provide constructive feedback.
- Prepare student progress reports and support improvement plans.
- Participate in parent-teacher meetings to discuss student development and learning outcomes.
Subject Expertise & Content Development
- Act as a Physics subject matter expert within Learnfluid.
- Develop and maintain Physics learning resources including:
- Worksheets
- Revision materials
- Quizzes
- Question papers
- Study resources
- Support curriculum development and improvement of teaching materials.
Academic Team Collaboration
- Work collaboratively with other Physics coaches and subject teams.
- Share teaching strategies, resources, and best practices.
- Support training and mentoring of current Physics tutors.
- Participate in subject meetings and contribute to improving teaching quality.
Technology-Enabled Teaching
- Conduct online classes using Learnfluid’s digital platform and required technology tools.
- Use online teaching tools effectively to create interactive learning experiences.
- Maintain professional online teaching standards with proper equipment, internet connectivity, webcam, and audio setup.
Quality & Innovation
- Follow Learnfluid teaching standards and class guidelines.
- Participate in feedback and quality improvement processes.
- Explore innovative teaching methods using technology and AI-supported learning approaches.
What We’re Looking For
Physics Knowledge
- Robust understanding of Physics concepts and curriculum.
- Ability to explain complex topics in a simple and engaging manner.
- Passion for helping students develop confidence in Physics.
Teaching Experience
- Previous experience teaching Physics at school, coaching, or tutoring level.
- Experience teaching GCSE, A-Level,
or equivalent curricula is preferred.
Communication Skills
- Excellent verbal communication skills.
- Ability to build strong relationships with students and parents.
- Qualified and encouraging teaching approach.
Student-Centred Approach
- Ability to personalise lessons based on individual student needs.
- Commitment to improving student outcomes.
- Patience, empathy, and mentoring mindset.
Technology Skills
- Comfortable conducting online classes.
- Ability to use digital teaching platforms and online learning tools.
- Willingness to adapt to technology-driven education methods.
Educational Qualification
- Master’s degree in Physics (M.Sc. Physics) and strong relevant teaching experience may also be considered.
- B.Ed. or another recognised teaching qualification is desirable but not mandatory.
- Solid academic foundation in Physics with the ability to teach KS3, GCSE, AS Level, and A-Level concepts.
- Additional qualifications or certifications in education, online teaching, or EdTech are an advantage.
Bonus Skills (Not Essential, But a Plus!)
- Experience creating Physics educational content.
- Experience with online tutoring platforms.
- Experience mentoring junior teachers or tutors.
- Familiarity with AI tools used in education.
- Experience preparing students for competitive exams.
