Indian Awaz Foundation (IAF) is looking for a proactive, confident and communication-oriented Outreach Coordinator Intern to join our Outreach Team.
The intern will play an active role in expanding IAF’s institutional outreach and youth networks, with a primary focus on the Impact Ambassador Programme and the Northeast Social Work Network. The role involves reaching out to colleges, universities, Social Work institutions, student networks and relevant organisations, building relationships with key contacts, recruiting and coordinating ambassadors, managing communication channels and ensuring consistent follow-up.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and approach colleges, universities, Social Work institutions and relevant organisations.
- Conduct outreach through phone calls, email, WhatsApp and LinkedIn.
- Connect with faculty members, student representatives, coordinators and institutional stakeholders.
- Introduce and communicate IAF's Northeast Social Work Network and Impact Ambassador Programme.
- Support the recruitment and onboarding of Campus/Impact Ambassadors.
- Maintain regular communication and engagement with ambassadors through WhatsApp and other channels.
- Follow up with institutions, prospective ambassadors and other stakeholders.
- Maintain outreach databases, records and follow-up trackers.
- Support the IAF team in building institutional partnerships and expanding the network.
- Coordinate ambassador engagement and activities as the network develops.
Who We Are Looking ForWe are particularly looking for someone who:
- Has strong verbal and written communication skills
- Is confident making phone calls and speaking with new people
- Can write professional emails and WhatsApp messages
- Is comfortable approaching colleges, universities and institutional representatives
- Has strong follow-up and relationship-building skills
- Can work independently and take ownership of assigned outreach targets
- Is organised and comfortable maintaining databases and trackers
- Has an interest in Social Work, youth development, community engagement or social impact
Prior experience in outreach, partnerships, sales/business development, community engagement, student networks or programme coordination will be an advantage. Internship DetailsPosition: Outreach Coordinator Intern
