Job Summary

Birlasoft is looking for an experienced Oracle HCM Functional Consultant with strong expertise in Oracle Cloud HCM – Core HR and Absence Management, along with an understanding of Oracle HCM AI capabilities.

The consultant will be responsible for understanding business requirements, designing functional solutions, configuring Oracle HCM modules, supporting testing and deployment, and working with business stakeholders to deliver scalable HCM solutions.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead functional requirements gathering and analysis for Oracle Cloud HCM implementations and enhancements.
- Strong hands-on experience in Oracle HCM Core HR and Absence Management.
- Configure and support Absence Management including:
- Absence Types
- Absence Plans
- Eligibility Profiles
- Accrual Rules
- Carryover Rules
- Waiting Periods
- Certifications
- Absence Approvals
- Fast Formula-based absence calculations
- Configure Core HR components including:
- Enterprise Structure
- Legal Employers
- Business Units
- Departments
- Locations
- Jobs and Positions
- Grades
- Workforce Structures
- Person and Employment Information
- Analyze business requirements and translate them into Oracle HCM functional solutions.
- Prepare functional design documents, configuration workbooks, test scenarios and process documentation.
- Perform configuration, unit testing, SIT/UAT support and defect resolution.




- Work closely with technical teams on integrations, reports, Fast Formulas and data migration.
- Support data validation and troubleshooting across Core HR and Absence processes.
- Participate in workshops and provide functional guidance to business stakeholders.
- Provide production support and resolve functional issues within agreed SLAs.

Oracle HCM AI Responsibilities

- Understand and evaluate Oracle Cloud HCM AI capabilities and identify opportunities for automation and improved employee experience.
- Work with business stakeholders to identify suitable AI use cases across HR processes.
- Exposure to Oracle HCM AI Agents / Generative AI / AI-assisted HR processes will be preferred.
- Support implementation and functional validation of AI-enabled HCM features.
- Understand how AI can be leveraged for areas such as:
- Employee self-service
- HR knowledge assistance
- HR case resolution
- Talent and workforce insights
- Absence-related employee queries
- HR process automation
- Collaborate with technical/integration teams to understand AI, APIs and data requirements.
- Ensure AI-enabled solutions align with business processes, data security and HR governance requirements.

Required Skills





- 5+ years of experience in Oracle HCM Cloud Functional.
- Strong hands-on experience in Core HR and Absence Management.
- At least one end-to-end Oracle HCM Cloud implementation.
- Solid understanding of Oracle HCM enterprise and workforce structures.
- Experience with Absence Plans, Absence Types, Eligibility Profiles and Accrual Rules.
- Good understanding of Fast Formula.
- Experience in requirement gathering, configuration, testing and production support.
- Good communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as with cross-functional teams.

Preferred Skills

- Exposure to Oracle HCM AI / AI Agents / Generative AI.
- Knowledge of Oracle Redwood UX and HCM Redwood features.
- Exposure to Oracle HCM integrations and REST/SOAP APIs.
- Knowledge of HDL/HSDL and data migration.
- Exposure to OTBI/BIP reporting.
- Experience working with global HR processes and multi-country implementations.
- Oracle HCM Cloud certification will be an added advantage.

Education

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, HR, Business Administration or a related discipline.

You will work as a key functional consultant in Oracle HCM engagements, helping clients transform their Core HR and Absence processes while exploring and implementing AI-enabled HCM capabilities to improve automation, employee experience and HR operations.
