Ops Finance – ERP & ControlsCompany: Littlebox India
Location: Noida
Experience: 3–4 years
Openings: 2
Employment Type: Full-time
Reporting To: Head of Finance
About the RoleThis is not a conventional accounting role.
Littlebox operates across e-commerce, warehousing, procurement, production, inventory, customer returns, logistics and finance. Every physical movement in the business eventually creates a financial impact — and our ERP needs to capture that movement correctly.
We are looking for someone who can sit at the intersection of Finance + Operations + ERP + Data.
Your job will be to understand how transactions actually happen on the ground, ensure teams follow the correct ERP process, identify where processes break and quantify the financial impact of those gaps.
A missing GRN isn't merely an ERP problem.
An incorrect inventory movement isn't merely a warehouse problem.
A wrongly processed return isn't merely a customer-service problem.
Each one ultimately affects inventory valuation, revenue, vendor balances, margins or cash.
Your role is to connect those dots.
What You Will OwnERP Process DisciplineYou will monitor critical transactions across:
- Sales
- Inventory
- Procurement
- Purchase orders
- GRNs
- Stock transfers
- Returns
- Credit notes
- Logistics
- Vendor transactions
- Customer transactions
- Warehousing
Your responsibility is to ensure that the defined process is actually being followed inside the ERP.
You will identify
What should have happened → What actually happened → Why there is a difference → What is the financial impact → How we prevent it from happening again.
Process Audits & Exception ManagementRather than checking every transaction manually, you will help us build an exception-driven control system.
Examples could include
- Goods received physically but GRN not completed
- Negative inventory
- Inventory sitting in incorrect locations
- Purchase orders remaining open beyond expected timelines
- Returns received physically but not processed in ERP
- Incorrect credit notes
- Sales orders with unusual statuses
- Inventory movements without proper documentation
- ERP stock not matching physical stock
- Vendor balances not matching operational records
- Transactions stuck between systems
You will build trackers and exception reports that allow management to see these issues quickly. Financial Impact AnalysisFinding an ERP error is only half the job.
We want you to answer:
"What did this error cost us?"
You will analyse the financial impact of process deviations including:
- Revenue leakage
- Inventory variance
- Incorrect inventory valuation
- Excess or missing credit notes
- Return-related losses
- Vendor overpayments
- Unrecorded liabilities
- Incorrect receivables
- Cost allocation errors
- Margin impact
- Operational leakage
The objective is to translate operational problems into numbers that management can act upon. ERP-to-Finance ReconciliationYou will regularly reconcile operational and ERP data with:
- Finance books
- Bank settlements
- Payment gateways
- Marketplace settlements
- Inventory records
- Vendor ledgers
- Customer ledgers
When two systems disagree, your responsibility will be to identify which system is wrong, why it is wrong and what needs to change. Dashboards & Management ReportingYou will build and maintain Excel-based dashboards and trackers covering areas such as:
- ERP exceptions
- Inventory variances
- Open transactions
- Pending GRNs
- Open POs
- Return reconciliation
- Credit-note reconciliation
- Vendor differences
- Revenue leakage
- Process compliance
Reports should not merely contain data. They should help management quickly understand:
What is wrong? How much money is involved? Who needs to act? By when?
Process ImprovementYou will work closely with Finance, Warehouse, Procurement, Supply Chain, Customer Support and other operational teams.
You will
- Document existing processes.
- Map process flows.
- Identify control gaps.
- Recommend improvements.
- Help define maker-checker controls where required.
- Suggest ERP configuration improvements.
- Reduce dependence on manual trackers.
- Improve data accuracy at the point where transactions originate.
The goal is not to keep correcting the same mistake every month. The goal is to fix the process that creates the mistake.
Training & Process AdoptionA good ERP is helpful only when teams use it correctly.
You will therefore
- Explain the financial impact of ERP processes to operational teams.
- Train users on correct workflows.
- Create simple SOPs and process documentation.
- Follow up on recurring deviations.
- Work with team leads to improve process compliance.
You need to be comfortable questioning incorrect processes and following up with teams until issues are resolved. Month-End ResponsibilitiesDuring month-end closing,
you will help ensure ERP-side transactions are complete and clean.
This includes
- Reviewing open transactions
- Clearing incorrect or incomplete entries
- Reconciling inventory movements
- Identifying pending operational transactions
- Preparing ERP-side schedules
- Supporting Finance with reconciliation and closing data
Your objective will be to help Finance close the month with fewer unexplained ERP differences and fewer manual adjustments. What We Are Looking ForEducation
B.Com, M.Com, CA Inter, MBA Finance or another relevant Finance/Accounting qualification.
Experience
3–4 years of relevant experience in finance operations, ERP finance, commercial finance, process control or operational accounting.
Experience in e-commerce, retail, fashion, warehousing or D2C businesses will be strongly preferred.
ERP Experience — MandatoryCandidates should have hands-on experience with:
Ginesys or Logic ERP
You should understand how transactions flow through an ERP rather than simply knowing how to enter vouchers.
Understanding of the following will be particularly valuable:
- Order-to-Cash
- Procure-to-Pay
- Inventory accounting
- GRN processes
- Returns and credit notes
- Stock movements
- Vendor accounting
Excel & Data Skills — MandatoryYou should be highly comfortable with Excel, including:
- Pivot Tables
- XLOOKUP
- INDEX-MATCH
- SUMIFS / COUNTIFS
- Array formulas
- Data cleaning
- Large dataset reconciliation
- Power Query
Macros/VBA will be an advantage. Exposure to SQL, Power BI or Looker Studio is also valuable.
The Person We WantThis role will suit someone who sees an ERP transaction and immediately asks:
"What happens financially if this is wrong?"
You should be
- Analytical
- Process-oriented
- Detail-obsessed
- Comfortable with large datasets
- Curious about how operations actually work
- Persistent about closing exceptions
- Comfortable challenging incorrect processes
- Capable of working across Finance and Operations
- Interested in solving root causes rather than repeatedly correcting symptoms
What Success Looks LikeYour impact should become visible through measurable improvements: Fewer ERP exceptions.
Lower inventory variance.
Cleaner reconciliations.
Faster month-end closing.
Better process compliance.
Less revenue and inventory leakage.
Fewer manual corrections.
Greater confidence in ERP data.
Ultimately, we want the ERP to become the single reliable source of operational and financial truth for the business — and this role will be central to making that happen.
