Network Engineer
We are seeking a skilled and self-motivated Network Operations Engineer to support, monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize our global enterprise network infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience managing complex hybrid network environments spanning on-premises data centers and multi-cloud platforms (Azure and GCP). This role requires strong operational expertise across routing, switching, wireless, firewalls, load balancing, network observability, and automation, with a focus on maintaining high availability, performance, and security.
Core Responsibilities
- Provide operational support for the global enterprise network, including routing, switching, wireless, firewalls, load balancers, SD-WAN, and cloud networking services.
- Monitor network health, service availability, and user experience using observability and performance management tools such as Splunk, ThousandEyes, and vendor management platforms.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex network incidents across data center, campus, branch, wireless, and cloud environments while meeting service level objectives.
- Perform advanced root cause analysis (RCA) for recurring issues and implement corrective and preventive actions to improve network stability.
- Support Aruba wireless infrastructure, including APs, controllers, client connectivity, roaming issues, RF optimization, and user experience troubleshooting.
- Manage and support Juniper routing and switching environments, including BGP, OSPF, VRF, VLAN, QoS, and WAN technologies.
- Support Palo Alto firewalls and related security services, including policy management, NAT, VPNs, and security troubleshooting.
- Assist with F5 and cloud load-balancing platforms to ensure application availability and performance.
- Execute network changes, upgrades, maintenance activities, and lifecycle management tasks in accordance with change management processes.
- Participate in major incident management, problem management, change reviews, and after-action reviews.
- Develop and maintain operational runbooks, troubleshooting guides, knowledge articles, and disaster recovery procedures.
- Collaborate closely with Security, Cloud Operations, Infrastructure, and Application teams to resolve cross-functional issues and improve service delivery.
- Provide escalation support for critical network incidents when required.
Basic Qualifications
- 8+ years of hands-on experience supporting enterprise network operations in large-scale environments.
- 5-7 years of experience with Juniper routing and switching technologies, including BGP, OSPF, VRF, STP, VLANs, and WAN connectivity.
- 3-5 years of experience supporting Palo Alto firewalls and network security services.
- 3-5 years of experience supporting Aruba wireless solutions, including Aruba Central, controllers, access points, client troubleshooting, and wireless optimization.
- Experience with Azure and GCP networking services and hybrid connectivity architectures.
- Working knowledge of F5 load balancers and cloud-based load balancing solutions.
- Working knowledge of Ansible, Terraform, Python, or API-based automation, with the ability to identify and automate repetitive operational tasks to improve efficiency and consistency.
- Strong operational knowledge of network monitoring, observability, and analytics platforms, including Splunk and ThousandEyes.
- Expertise in packet capture and protocol analysis using Wireshark and similar tools.
- Experience supporting production environments using ITIL processes, including Incident, Problem, Change, and Service Request Management.
- Robust troubleshooting, documentation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Foundational understanding of Generative AI and Agentic AI technologies and their potential application within network operations and service automation.
