Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Native Android Developer role based.The developer will design, build, and maintain native Android applications, ensuring high performance, responsiveness, and reliability. Daily responsibilities include collaborating with product and design teams, implementing UI/UX designs, integrating APIs and backend services, and writing clean, maintainable code. The role involves debugging and optimizing existing features, participating in code reviews, and contributing to architectural and technical decisions.

The developer will also stay current with Android best practices and emerging technologies to continuously enhance application quality.

Native Android Developer

About the Role -

We are looking for a Native Android Developer with 2–3 years of hands-on experience to join our engineering team. You will be responsible for developing, enhancing, and maintaining high-quality Android applications while working closely with Product, Design, QA, and Backend teams.

The ideal candidate should have strong experience in Kotlin,



Android SDK, Android Studio, and REST API integration, with a good understanding of modern Android development practices.

Key Responsilbilities

- Develop, enhance, and maintain native Android applications.
- Build scalable, reliable, and user-friendly mobile features.
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code using Kotlin.
- Work with Android SDK and contemporary Android development frameworks.
- Integrate REST APIs and work with backend services.
- Collaborate with Product, UI/UX, QA, and Backend teams to deliver features end-to-end.
- Debug and resolve application issues, crashes, and performance problems.
- Participate in code reviews and follow coding and development best practices.
- Ensure applications perform well across different Android devices and OS versions.
- Contribute to application releases, production support, and continuous improvements.
- Stay updated with the latest Android technologies and development practices.

Skills & Expertise

- 2–3 years of hands-on experience in Native Android development.
- Strong programming skills in Kotlin.
- Good knowledge of Android SDK and Android Studio.
- Understanding of Android application architecture such as MVVM/MVI.
- Experience with REST APIs, JSON, and API integration.




- Good understanding of Android UI development.
- Knowledge of Jetpack components such as ViewModel, LiveData/StateFlow, Room, Navigation, etc.
- Familiarity with Git/version control.
- Good understanding of debugging, performance optimization, and crash analysis.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

Good to Have

- Experience with Jetpack Compose.
- Knowledge of Kotlin Coroutines and Flow.
- Experience with Firebase/Crashlytics.
- Understanding of unit testing/UI testing.
- Exposure to CI/CD and Android application release processes.
- Experience working in a product-based environment.

Location - WFH for 4-5 months, Work location available for Bengaluru/ Hyderabad

Qualifications

- Strong skills in Android Development and Android Design for building native Android applications.
- Experience in Mobile Application Development and working with Mobile Applications across the full lifecycle.
- Proficiency in Software Development principles, including object-oriented programming, design patterns, and version control (e.g., Git).
- 2 to 3 years of hands-on experience developing and shipping native Android apps using Kotlin and/or Java.
- Knowledge of Android SDK, Jetpack components, RESTful APIs, JSON, and third-party libraries.
- Experience with unit testing, debugging tools, and performance optimization for Android applications.
- Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams, communicate clearly, and manage tasks independently.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
