NDT LEVEL III INSPECTOR
JOB SUMMARY
Responsible for performing and overseeing NDT Level III activities across RT, PT, MT, UT and VT methods; preparing and reviewing NDT procedures and technical reports; supporting training and certification; ensuring compliance with applicable codes, standards and procedures; and supporting safe and effective NDT operations, including radiation safety.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform and provide Level III technical oversight for RT (Radiographic Testing), PT (Penetrant Testing), MT (Magnetic Particle Testing), UT (Ultrasonic Testing), and VT (Visual Testing). • Prepare, review and approve NDT procedures, techniques and technical reports in accordance with applicable codes, standards and client requirements. • Provide technical guidance and support to NDT personnel and ensure correct application of approved procedures. • Conduct and support NDT training and certification activities in applicable NDT methods. • Perform and/or support Radiation Safety Training and promote safe radiographic testing practices. • Maintain compliance with applicable NDT codes, standards, specifications and procedures. • Provide technical support for oil & gas, petrochemical and industrial inspection projects. • Utilize and provide technical support in PAUT (Phased Array Ultrasonic Testing), where applicable. • Prepare,
review and maintain NDT records, reports and related technical documentation. • Support NDT operations management, planning and coordination as required. • Ensure NDT activities are conducted safely, efficiently and in accordance with company and project requirements. • Solve any technical issue as per the client requirements
COMMUNICATION
Within the Company Outside the Company Coordinate with NDT, Operations, HSE, QA/QC and other relevant departments. Communicate with clients, project teams, certification/training bodies and other external stakeholders as required.
SPECIFICATIONS Education / Certification Experience
- NDT Level III certification in RT, PT, MT, UT and VT. • NRRC-approved RSO certification is preferred. • Minimum 3 years of relevant NDT experience. • Hands-on experience in PAUT is preferred. • Robust knowledge of applicable NDT codes, standards and procedures. • Experience in oil & gas, petrochemical or industrial projects is preferred. • Experience preparing and reviewing NDT procedures and technical reports. • Experience in training and certification activities across NDT methods. • Experience in Radiation Safety Training. • Experience in operations management is preferred.
