MEP Electrical Engineer

Budget between 60K - 70K per month

Location - Bidadi Bangalore

Responsibilities

- Monitoring all activities related to Electrical works as per finalized design & drawings.
- All Electrical works are carried out as per approved design & drawings.
- Review and inspect the contractor capability in term of personnel, equipment and other conditions with regard to the contract / bid conditions and legal requirements.
- Maintaining Quality of Electrical work at site. Record accurate inspections carried out in line with the site documents
- Ensuring strict adherence of all safety protocols by all contractors related to Electrical work
- Checking of all incoming material quality & quantity verification and maintaining a record of same and approve.
- Ensuring issuance of all details and drawings duly stamped for execution of work to the Contractors / Vendors and Maintaining record
- Ensuring all documents are maintained related to site Electrical works
- Review and comment on following System and that may required for the project and advise Project Manager to approve

o GFC drawings / Panel SLDs/ specifications and any other documents in Electrical Discipline, o GFC drawings / Control Panel / Instrument Data Sheet / Logic / specifications and any other documents in Instrumentation & Automation Discipline,
- Issue GFC / Shop Floor drawings and Documents to contractors and keep update record issued
- Daily and Weekly Meeting with Contractors to review Daily and Weekly Progress at site
- Preparation of Minutes of Meeting
- Collecting Detail from contractors and Data for Preparation of DPR
- To coordinate the works of various contractors / sub-contractors / agencies at site
- Assigning work permit to all contractors.
- Ensuring Site Supervision of works and materials at every stage
- Preparation of Change control related to Electrical
- Checking and Verifying of Measurement Sheet and RA Bill of Contractor




- Preparing COP (Certificate of Payment)
- Maintaining payment tracker & cash flow record.
- Advise Project Manager and record wherever applicable any works not carried out in accordance with the drawings and specifications
- Preparation of snag list by monitoring each & every Electrical/Mechanical
- Highlight deviations, if any to Project Manager
- To inspect and suggest remedial measures for any defects arising in the post construction period
- To ensure preparation of As-Built Drawings for- Electrical Services incorporating all the changes made at site.
- Ensuring all works all performed as per required project quality,
- Maintaining all documents related to Electrical works
- Compilation of all checklists, pre-commissioning and commissioning reports.
- Compilation of various statutory authority approvals.
- Raising RED flag if project running cost is exceeding budgeted cost.
- Highlight deviations if any to Site Manager.

Site Related Responsibilities

- Over all in-charge of carrying out the above activities related to Electrical works, as per finalized design & drawings.
- Follow EHS plan day to day basis at site by Contractors / sub-contractors
- Verify for the contractor’s bills, material requirements, etc.
- Responsible for all activity related construction projects including, site organization, document organization, safety, quality control, contract management and budgetary management.
- Daily and Weekly Meeting with each discipline Contractors to review Daily and Weekly Progress at site
- Review,



comment on GFC drawings / specifications and any other documents that may require for the project and to issue to respective discipline contractor.
- Address any queries arising from the audit teams (from quality, safety and other auditors) and shall ensure completion of the audit points.
- Check rate analysis, comparison quotes, provide technical recommendation for misc items ordered during the Project progress
- Issue NCR and timely closure of defects rectification. Generate all quality reports as necessary internal and external.
- Technically assist HCCB in preparation of snag list.

Competencies

- Graduate Engineer in Electrical Engineering
- 8+ years’ experience in Project Management including a minimum of 6 years’ experience in a Construction Management Consulting environment and particularly in FMCG /Beverage Industries.
- A minimum of 6 years managing large scale projects or multiple smaller scale projects simultaneously and at different phases, and management of project teams.
- Able to Review drawing / specifications / any other documents that may require for the project.
- Able to Check measurement sheet and Bill submitted by contractor Intermediate time management skills with the ability to work under pressure and to tight timeframes on occasion.
- Advanced attention to detail, particularly in respect to contractual requirements.
- Advanced written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to write explicit contractual letters, make presentations, chair meetings, make reports and meeting minutes that are clear and understandable.
- Basic working knowledge of software Excel AutoCAD & word.
- Shall have Experience managing multicultural project teams in an expatriate environment.
- Team player and able to adapt to changes within the construction process
- Fluency in written and spoken English & Hindi are a pre-requisite and regional language will be an added advantage.
