Role Description The Merchandiser - Textile is a full-time, in office role based in Coimbatore. This role involves coordinating between design, production, and sales teams to ensure that school-wear merchandise is developed according to market requirements and brand standards. Day-to-day tasks include product development planning, sampling follow-up, vendor coordination, and monitoring production timelines and quality.

The Merchandiser will analyze market trends, manage order processing, maintain accurate documentation,



and support pricing and cost negotiations. The role also includes regular communication with internal stakeholders and external partners to ensure smooth workflow from concept to finished product.

Qualifications

- Strong knowledge of textiles, garment construction, and school-wear product requirements
- Experience in merchandising, product development, or production coordination within the apparel or textile industry
- Ability to analyze market trends, customer needs, and competitor offerings
- Proficiency in basic computer applications and documentation, including spreadsheets and presentation tools
- Strong communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills
- Attention to detail, time management, and ability to handle multiple orders and timelines
- Relevant diploma or degree in Textile Technology, Fashion Merchandising, Apparel Management, or a related field
- Prior experience in school-wear or uniform segment is an advantage
