## Process and Site Engineer – CBG / Biogas

SY GREEN ENERGY PRIVATE LIMITED is looking for a technically robust Membrane Gas Purification Engineer / Process Engineer having practical knowledge of membrane-based biogas upgrading and gas separation systems.

### Key Technical Knowledge Required

Candidate should preferably have hands-on knowledge in:

- Membrane-based Biogas / CBG Purification & Upgradation
- CH₄ / CO₂ separation using gas separation membranes
- Biogas pre-treatment systems
- H₂S removal systems
- Moisture removal, chilling and gas drying
- Activated Carbon filtration
- Gas filtration and coalescing filters
- LP & HP gas compression systems
- Multi-stage membrane separation
- Membrane stage configuration and process optimization
- Feed Gas / Permeate / Retentate calculations
- Methane recovery and methane loss control
- Gas flow, pressure and composition calculations
- Selection and sizing of membrane modules
- Selection of compressor, chiller, filters, valves and instrumentation
- PFD & P&ID; understanding
- PLC/Automation and process instrumentation
- Pressure, temperature, flow and gas-quality monitoring
- Commissioning and performance testing of purification systems
- Troubleshooting of low methane recovery / high CO₂ / membrane performance issues

### Process Understanding Preferred

Candidate should understand the complete purification sequence:





Raw Biogas → H₂S Removal → Moisture Removal / Chilling → Filtration → Compression → Membrane Separation → CH₄ Enrichment → CBG

Knowledge of achieving high-purity methane suitable for CBG applications with optimum methane recovery will be highly preferred.

### Preferred Background

Qualification: B.Tech / M.Tech / Diploma in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Process Engineering or relevant field.

Experience: Candidates having practical experience with Biogas Upgradation, Gas Separation Membranes, Natural Gas Processing, CO₂ Separation, PSA/Membrane Systems or CBG Purification Plants will be preferred.

We are specifically looking for candidates with practical technical knowledge, not only theoretical understanding.

### Role & Responsibilities The selected engineer will be involved in:

- Design & development of membrane-based CBG purification systems
- Process calculations and equipment sizing
- Membrane configuration and optimization
- Vendor/component selection
- PFD/P&ID; development
- System fabrication & integration support
- Site installation and commissioning
- Performance optimization
- Troubleshooting and technical support
- Continuous improvement of our in-house membrane purification technology
