About the role

We are looking for an Operational Risk Manager who will play a key role in identifying, assessing and mitigating operational risks across slice business and processes.

You will work closely with cross-functional stakeholders to understand processes, identify potential failure points, assess the effectiveness of controls and drive remediation of identified risks.

This is a hands-on, business-facing risk role and requires someone who can go beyond identifying gaps and work with teams to implement practical solutions.

What you will do:

- Identify and assess operational risks across business processes, products and functions.
- Drive Risk & Control Self-Assessments (RCSA) for key business processes.
- Identify process, people, system and control risks and assess their potential business impact.
- Design, review and strengthen preventive and detective controls.
- Define and monitor Key Risk Indicators (KRIs) and risk thresholds for critical processes.
- Monitor and analyse operational risk incidents, loss events and near misses.
- Conduct root-cause analysis and drive corrective and preventive actions.
- Partner with business teams to ensure timely closure of identified risk and control gaps.
- Conduct operational risk assessments for new products, processes, systems and business initiatives.
- Challenge existing processes and controls and identify opportunities to improve the overall control environment.
- Develop and maintain operational risk dashboards, MIS and management reports.
- Track emerging operational risks and provide actionable recommendations to business leadership.
- Work closely with Compliance, Internal Audit, Fraud Risk, Information Security, Product, Technology and Operations teams.
- Support internal and regulatory reviews by providing relevant risk assessments, documentation and data.
- Contribute to development and enhancement of operational risk policies, frameworks and governance mechanisms.




- Drive awareness of operational risk and strengthen the overall risk culture across the organisation.

What you will need:

- 6–10 years of experience in Operational Risk, Risk & Controls, Internal Controls, Process Risk or related areas.
- Experience in banking, NBFC, fintech or financial services is preferred.
- Strong understanding of operational risk frameworks, RCSA, KRIs, risk assessments and control testing.
- Experience in analysing operational incidents and conducting root-cause analysis.
- Ability to work closely with business teams and influence stakeholders without direct authority.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Good understanding of governance, risk reporting and control remediation.
