Educational Attainment

Degree in Engineering or diploma engineer with experience with electrical background

No. Years of Experience

Minimum 6-8 years' experience in Maintenance of FMCG industry ( VFFS & HFFS machine) Good diagnostic and problem-solving skills; Possession of relevant technical knowledge; Possess high level of safety awareness. – Process area experiences in electrical field

Certifications/ Trainings Needed

Preferably with Electrical experience. Basic understanding on PLC, Sensor, SCADA, Electrical panel wiring, switch gear, transformer, breaker. Understanding of bearing, sprockets, chains, pump set, coupling & conveyors. Occupational Safety Awareness.

Behavioral Qualities/Traits

Should be adaptable enough to Adjust to dynamics of Production Environment in FMCG. With confidence to respond positively when under pressure. Should be able to perform in the High pressure situation due to Production plans. Highly organized and action orientated.

The Maintenance Supervisor role is to lead the way in the continuous improvement of all production stages. To provide the necessary electrical and mechanical multi-skilled expertise and support while ensuring smooth plant operation and maintaining the physical assets of the company under the direction of the General Manager.

This position exists to manage all activities of the plant including and related to preventive and break down maintenance with problem solving ability and ensure adherence to production schedules and optimize maximum productivity and quality at its extent. He is expected to take pride in good quality workmanship and bring about engineering solution to provide a high quality product that meets and even exceeds the expectations of our customers.

Responsibility 1: Maintenance.

Maintenance of plant activities (machines and equipment) including planning preventive and predictive (Planned and unplanned) maintenance and corrective measure during breakdown of equipment. Ensure regular checks on machinery and completion of all maintenance tasks as assigned.

Work Standards:

- Ensure production equipment operates efficiently so as to achieve more than 95% availability and 70% OEE. Maintain and update all records of daily, weekly and monthly equipment breakdown,



assets registers and job orders for accurate traceability and maintenance. To follow Conditioned-Based Maintenance (CBM) to minimize costs.
- Accomplishes maintenance human resource objectives by selecting, orienting, training, assigning, scheduling, coaching, counselling, and disciplining employees; communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, appraising job contributions; recommending compensation actions; adhering to policies and procedures. - Meets maintenance operational standards by contributing maintenance information to strategic plans and reviews; implementing production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards; resolving problems. Responsibility 2: Financial & Maintenance Planning and Troubleshooting.

Financial budgeting, Designing and implementing preventive maintenance system as per Computerized Maintenance Management System. Fault finding / problem solving of equipment and machine break down. Plans, executes and implement all engineering projects.

Work Standards:

- Analyses equipment failures, determines cause(s) and makes necessary adjustments or repairs. Efficiently calibrates instruments and assist on machinery/equipment installation. Ensure that all maintenance technicians and machine operators are following the standards laid down on the proper use and maintenance of machinery/equipment. Ensure adherence to GMP, 5S' and all safety standards.
- Meets maintenance financial standards by providing annual budget information; monitoring expenditures; identifying variances; implementing corrective actions.

Responsibility 3: Coordination and Communication.

Liaise with suppliers for spares and subcontractors for outsourced jobs. Ensure compliance with appropriate safety practices and procedures and with applicable UAE federal laws or local codes and company regulations and requirements.

- Cautiously identify the need for equipment and outsourced jobs and recommends effective way of tasks completion. Participate to mechanical and electrical improvements for the plant, conduct safety compliance inspections and maintains records of the same, prioritize and address/communicate department's work-related issues/concerns. Must ensure timely and proper communication of work-related issues with the concerned departments and the Factory Manager.
- Maintains safe and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures; complying with legal codes and regulations.

Trains associates, assign job as per skills, and monitors the performance of the team. Ensures cost effective optimization practices are adhered to, creates Continuous Improvement culture and implement Kaizen among staffs.

Work Standards:

- Follow and maintain GMP, ISO, QMS, HACCP, 5-S' and Work Safety standards.
- Adhere to cost effective practices as well as continuous improvement and Kaizen encouraged in the department.
- Check the work orders and daily accomplishment report of the technicians

. 4. Assess performance of technicians against set KPI*.

Responsibility 5: Cost Reduction and Change Over.

To minimize delays in production and optimum utilization of lines by ensuring timely change over as per agreed SOP. To avoid financial loss of tea stocks by assuring correct calibration and setting of all check weighers. Create awareness among staffs and colleagues of cost factor and contribute to plant's cost reduction program.

Work Standards:

- To contribute to continuous reduction of cost by providing concrete technical solution and framework for change as a plant including better management of utilities (air conditioning, lightning) minimizing wear and tear, loss and replacement of costly parts, and avoid damage of machine parts and equipment.

Responsibility 6: Assistance in Internal & External Audit Compliances

Work Standards:

- Assist the Engineering Coordinator & Maintenance Engineers in the Internal & External Audits.
- Complying on the NCR's and suggestion made during the audit.
- Provides preventive measures for the next audits.
