About the Role

SPIRO is looking for an experienced Assistant Manager – Logistics to manage and drive end-to-end logistics operations across inbound and outbound movement of materials, components and finished vehicles.

The role will be responsible for logistics planning, transporter management, freight cost optimisation, shipment tracking, warehouse coordination and delivery performance, while working closely with Procurement, Production, Warehouse, Finance and other business teams.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage inbound and outbound logistics operations for raw materials, components, EV parts, batteries and finished vehicles.
- Plan daily logistics requirements in line with production schedules, material requirements and dispatch plans.
- Manage and coordinate with transporters, fleet operators and logistics service providers.
- Ensure timely vehicle placement, loading, dispatch and delivery.
- Monitor shipment movement and proactively resolve delays, shortages, damages and delivery issues.
- Negotiate freight rates and drive logistics cost optimisation and route efficiency.
- Monitor transporter performance against agreed service levels and delivery timelines.
- Coordinate with warehouse teams for loading, unloading, material movement and inter-location transfers.
- Ensure proper logistics documentation including LR/GR, e-way bills, invoices, delivery challans and PODs.
- Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely pickup and movement of materials required for production.
- Work closely with Procurement, Production, Warehouse, Finance, Sales and Customer Service teams.
- Track and analyse logistics KPIs including freight cost, delivery timelines,



vehicle utilisation and transporter performance.
- Prepare regular MIS and logistics performance reports for management.
- Identify opportunities for route optimisation, load consolidation, lead-time reduction and freight savings.
- Support process improvement and implementation of efficient logistics systems and practices.
- Lead and guide logistics executives/officers and ensure smooth day-to-day operations.
- Ensure safe and compliant transportation of EV components, batteries and other high-value materials.

Candidate Profile

- 6–12 years of experience in Logistics, Transportation or Supply Chain.
- Experience in Automotive, EV, Electric Mobility, Manufacturing or Engineering industries preferred.
- Robust hands-on experience in inbound and outbound logistics operations.
- Proven experience in transporter/vendor management and freight negotiations.
- Good understanding of logistics documentation, shipment tracking and delivery processes.
- Strong knowledge of freight cost management and logistics optimisation.
- Experience in handling multiple locations, vendors and stakeholders.
- Good working knowledge of MS Excel and ERP/SAP; exposure to WMS/TMS will be an advantage.
- Strong analytical, coordination, negotiation and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and growth-oriented environment.

Education

Graduate in any discipline.

MBA / PG Diploma in Logistics, Supply Chain Management or Operations will be preferred.
