Legal Intern (On Site), New Delhi, Onesto

About the role

- Full time, on site at Onesto's Current Delhi office
- Supports Onesto's legal work for India and Europe clients across contracts, compliance, trade and dispute recovery
- Reports to the Founder and CEO, with day to day guidance from the legal team

Who we are looking for

- A final year law student (LLB or BA LLB) or a qualified lawyer
- Strong interest in corporate, commercial and cross border trade law
- Fluent English, written and spoken; Hindi is essential for dealing with local authorities and counterparties

Key responsibilities

- Research Indian law and regulation, and record the current source for every point
- Draft and review contracts, NDAs, agency and distribution agreements, notices and legal memos
- Support company law compliance: ROC filings, board and shareholder documents, FEMA and foreign investment requirements
- Assist with dispute and recovery work: demand notices, case chronologies, document bundles and follow up with counsel
- Support trade and regulatory matters such as customs, import and export rules, CBAM advisory and product registrations
- Handle IP, trademark, data protection and employment queries as they arise
- Prepare replies to government and regulatory letters in a diplomatic, concise tone
- Contribute to Onesto's India compliance,



dispute and recovery handbook for foreign entities
- Maintain organised legal files, trackers and deadline calendars
- Visit authorities, banks, registrars or courts when required

Skills expected

- Accurate legal research and clear, plain language drafting
- Close attention to detail and deadlines
- Good judgement on confidentiality and client sensitivity
- Comfort with Word, Excel, PDF tools and online legal databases
- Initiative and the ability to work with little supervision in a small team

Nice to have

- Prior internship or practice in a law firm, chamber or in house team
- Exposure to corporate, trade, IP or arbitration matters
- Basic knowledge of Spanish or other European languages
