Role Description The KNX Engineer role is a full-time, in office position based in Bengaluru. The KNX Engineer will design, configure, and program KNX-based smart home systems, including lighting, HVAC, security, and shading controls. Day-to-day responsibilities include reviewing project requirements, preparing system layouts, selecting appropriate devices, and integrating KNX with other home automation platforms.
The role involves on-site installation support, testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting to ensure stable and efficient system performance. The KNX Engineer will also collaborate with project managers, electricians, and clients,
provide technical documentation, and offer training and after-sales support for installed systems.
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of KNX standards, KNX topology, and KNX programming tools (e.g., ETS) and ability to design and implement KNX-based solutions.
- Experience in smart home or building automation systems, including integration of lighting, HVAC, security, and shading controls.
- Solid understanding of electrical and low-voltage systems, wiring practices, panel design, and safety standards.
- Proficiency in reading and creating technical drawings, schematics, and documentation for automation projects.
- Ability to diagnose and resolve system issues through systematic testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills for working with clients, contractors, and internal project teams.
- Relevant technical diploma or degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Instrumentation, or a related field; KNX certification is an advantage.
- Comfort working on-site, managing multiple projects, and adapting to evolving customer requirements and technologies.
