About the Role The HR Generalist will execute and improve core HR operations for Trundl India, supporting employees across onboarding, records, probation, payroll inputs, benefits, employee queries, compliance coordination, and offboarding. This is a hands-on individual-contributor role for an HR professional with 3–5 years of experience. The role works under the guidance of the Manager - HR, India and partners with hiring managers, Finance, IT, employees, and external vendors.
Role Priorities The role’s primary focus is accurate and timely HR operations, a reliable employee experience, and compliant recordkeeping. Recruitment support, reporting, and process improvement are important secondary responsibilities. The HR Generalist is expected to manage routine activities independently and escalate policy decisions, sensitive employee matters, statutory interpretation, and material risks to the HR Manager.
Key Responsibilities
- Employee lifecycle operations: Coordinate pre-joining documentation, background verification, onboarding, induction, probation reviews, confirmations, transfers, employee changes, and offboarding. Maintain trackers and follow up with relevant stakeholders to close activities on time.
- Employee records and HR administration: Maintain accurate and confidential employee files, HRIS records, attendance, shift, and leave data. Conduct regular quality checks and keep documentation ready for internal review and audits.
- Payroll and benefits support:
Compile and validate monthly payroll inputs, communicate approved employee changes, coordinate benefit enrolments and updates, support claims and queries, and meet payroll cut-off dates.
- Employee support: Act as the first point of contact for routine HR queries, provide transparent updates, track requests to closure, and escalate sensitive employee-relations matters or policy exceptions.
- Compliance coordination: Maintain statutory documentation and compliance trackers; support PF, ESIC, gratuity, audit, and mandatory-learning activities; follow up on deadlines; and escalate gaps.
- Recruitment and campus-hiring support: Support approved campus and early-career hiring plans through scheduling, candidate communication, selection records, offer documentation, and joining readiness.
- Reporting and process improvement: Maintain core HR dashboards and standard operating procedures, identify recurring errors or delays, and recommend practical improvements to controls and employee experience.
