Role Summary The HRBP Senior Executive will be the single point of HR contact for the regional sales and field teams, covering on-roll employees (BDEs, Sales Officers, ASMs, RSMs) and the offroll field workforce (Beauty Advisors and ISR) deployed through manpower partners.
The role combines business partnering, field workforce management, payroll inputs and statutory compliance across a multi-state territory.
Key Responsibilities
Business Partnering
- Partner with RSMs, ASMs and regional sales leadership to understand manpower needs and operational challenges, and provide practical HR solutions.
- Drive manpower planning and headcount tracking against approved budgets for onroll and off-roll roles across the region.
- Support rollout of new distribution and go-to-market initiatives with the right people structure, hiring plans and policy support.
- Travel extensively across markets in the region to visit distributor points, MT/GT stores and field teams.
Talent Acquisition &
- Onboarding
- Coordinate and help the TA team and manpower vendors for timely closure of BDE, Sales Officer, BA and ISR positions.
- Ensure smooth onboarding, documentation and induction for new joiners, including KYC and statutory enrolment (PF/ESI).
- Track hiring quality, early attrition (first 90 days) and vendor turnaround time, and escalate gaps.
Field
Workforce &
Vendor Management
- Manage the off-roll BA and ISR workforce through manpower agencies,
ensuring correct deployment, attendance and timely salary payment.
- Monitor vendor performance against SLAs, invoice accuracy and statutory obligations; conduct periodic vendor audits.
- Identify high performers among ISRs and BAs for internal growth paths (e.g., ISR to Sales Officer). Attendance, Payroll &
- HR Operations
- Own monthly attendance validation for field teams through the attendance app and MIS, and resolve discrepancies with managers.
- Manage employee lifecycle activities including confirmations, transfers, separations and full and final settlement.
- Maintain employee records, trackers and HR MIS in Excel.
Employee Engagement &
- Retention
- Conduct regular field connects, market visits and skip-level meetings with sales and in-store teams.
- Drive engagement and R&R; initiatives for field teams across the region.
- Analyse attrition trends by role, market and vendor, and implement retention actions with sales leadership.
Performance Management
- Support the appraisal cycle, goal setting and incentive-linked performance tracking for the sales team.
- Guide managers on performance improvement plans and documentation.
- Track productivity and people metrics and share regular dashboards with regional leadership.
Employee Relations
- Handle grievances, disciplinary cases and investigations for on-roll and off-roll employees with proper documentation.
- Manage labour department notices and complaints in coordination with legal and vendors, ensuring timely resolution.
- Ensure adherence to company policies, attendance policy and SOPs across the region.
Compliance
- Ensure compliance with applicable labour laws including PF, ESI, Minimum Wages, Shops &
- Establishments, Skilled Tax and Labour Welfare Fund across states in the region.
- Track state-wise minimum wage revisions and ensure vendor compliance for the offroll workforce.
- Support internal and external compliance audits.
Key Skills Required
- Strong communication and stakeholder management with field sales leaders
- Hands-on experience in payroll inputs, attendance management and statutory compliance
- Working knowledge of labour laws across multiple states
- Experience managing manpower vendors and off-roll/contract workforce
- Employee relations, grievance handling and conflict resolution
- Proficient in MS Excel (VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, pivot tables, MIS reporting)
- Comfortable with extensive travel and a fast-paced field environment
- Knowledge of regional languages preferred (Bengali/Odia for East
- Hindi/Punjabi for North)
Preferred Qualification &
- Experience
- MBA/PGDM in HR or equivalent
- 2–4 years of HRBP / Field HR experience
- Experience in FMCG, CPG, Beauty &
- Personal Care, Retail or Sales &
- Distribution set-ups preferred
