Role Overview

We are looking for a responsible and hands-on Operations Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of Rohm Staycations properties.

The Operations Manager will be responsible for ensuring that guest rooms and common areas are maintained to the required standards, supervising housekeeping and operational staff, coordinating guest check-ins and check-outs, handling operational issues, managing vendors and supplies, and ensuring a smooth guest experience throughout the stay.

The ideal candidate should be organised, proactive, guest-focused and comfortable managing both people and property operations.

Key Responsibilities

Property Operations

Oversee day-to-day operations of Rohm Staycations properties.

Ensure guest rooms, common areas and facilities are clean, functional and guest-ready.

Conduct regular property inspections.

Ensure rooms are prepared before scheduled guest check-ins.

Coordinate maintenance, repairs and preventive maintenance.

Ensure appliances, ACs, TVs, Wi-Fi, water supply, power backup and other amenities are functioning properly.

Maintain property readiness and quality standards at all times.

Guest Experience

- Ensure a smooth guest experience from check-in through checkout.
- Welcome and assist guests whenever required.
- Handle guest requests, complaints and operational issues professionally and promptly.
- Coordinate early check-ins, late checkouts and special guest requirements with the reservations team.
- Follow up on guest concerns until resolution.
- Escalate serious incidents to management when necessary.
- Check-in & Checkout Management
- Ensure rooms are ready before guest arrival.
- Verify guest IDs and required documentation as per company policies and applicable regulations.
- Ensure guest registration and check-in procedures are followed correctly.
- Explain key property and house rules to guests when required.
- Conduct or supervise checkout inspections.
- Report any damages, missing items or extraordinary cleaning requirements.
- Housekeeping Management
- Supervise housekeeping staff and allocate daily duties.
- Ensure rooms, bathrooms, kitchens, balconies and common areas meet Rohm cleanliness standards.
- Monitor linen, towels, toiletries and guest supplies.
- Maintain housekeeping schedules and room-cleaning records.
- Conduct quality checks after housekeeping is completed.
- Ensure proper handling, storage and usage of cleaning chemicals and equipment.

Staff Supervision

- Prepare staff duty rosters and shift schedules.




- Monitor attendance, punctuality and staff discipline.
- Train staff on housekeeping standards, guest interaction and property procedures.
- Ensure staff grooming and uniform standards are followed.
- Provide regular feedback and identify training requirements.
- Coordinate staff availability during high-occupancy periods.
- Maintenance & Vendor Coordination
- Identify maintenance issues and arrange repairs promptly.
- Coordinate with electricians, plumbers, AC technicians, carpenters and other service providers.
- Maintain records of maintenance work and expenses.
- Monitor AMC/service schedules for equipment and appliances.
- Ensure vendors complete work according to agreed quality and timelines.
- Obtain approval for major repairs or purchases as per company policy.
- Inventory & Procurement
- Monitor inventory of linen, toiletries, cleaning supplies and operational materials.
- Maintain minimum stock levels.
- Raise procurement requirements before stock runs out.
- Verify deliveries and maintain basic inventory records.
- Control wastage, misuse and unnecessary operational expenses.
- Safety, Security & Compliance
- Ensure property safety and security procedures are followed.
- Monitor CCTV and access-control practices where applicable.
- Ensure guest-entry and visitor policies are followed.
- Report suspicious or unauthorised activity immediately.
- Maintain fire extinguishers, emergency equipment and safety systems.
- Ensure staff understand emergency-response procedures.
- Maintain required operational and compliance records.

Coordination with Reservations Team

- Work closely with the Booking & Reservations team regarding:
- Expected guest arrivals and departures.
- Room allocation.
- Guest occupancy.
- Special requests.
- Booking changes.
- Payment status where operational coordination is required.
- Early check-ins and late checkouts.
- Maintenance-related room blocks.
- Guest complaints and service recovery.
- Operational Reporting
- Maintain and share regular operational updates covering:
- Occupancy and room status.
- Check-ins and checkouts.
- Housekeeping status.
- Maintenance issues.
- Guest complaints.
- Inventory requirements.
- Staff attendance.
- Property incidents.
- Damages and recoveries.
- Pending operational tasks.

Key Performance Indicators

- The Operations Manager will be evaluated on areas including:
- Guest satisfaction.
- Room cleanliness and property-maintenance standards.
- Guest complaint resolution time.
- Percentage of rooms ready before check-in.
- Housekeeping quality.
- Maintenance turnaround time.
- Staff attendance and productivity.
- Inventory control.
- Operational cost management.
- Adherence to safety and company procedures.
- Accuracy and timeliness of operational reporting.

Qualification & Experience

- Qualification in Hotel Management, Hospitality Management or Tourism.
- Previous experience in hotels, resorts, serviced apartments,



homestays or hospitality operations is preferred.
- Candidates with 0-1 years of hospitality operations experience will be preferred.
- Strong fresh candidates with relevant hotel-management education and practical exposure may also be considered for junior operational roles.

Language Requirements

- Candidates should preferably be able to communicate effectively in:
- Odia, Hindi and English is a must. Bengali and Telugu ( Good to have).

Nature of the Role

- This is a hands-on hospitality operations role.
- The Operations Manager will be expected to spend significant time at the property supervising operations rather than working exclusively from an office.
- The role may require:
- Working on weekends and public holidays.
- Flexible working hours depending on guest arrivals and operational requirements.
- Handling urgent property or guest situations outside normal working hours when necessary.
- Travel between Rohm Staycations properties as the company expands.

Compensation & Benefits

- Probation Period: The first three months of employment will be considered a probationary period, during which the employee will receive a fixed salary of ₹17,000 per month, along with company-provided accommodation.
- Post-Probation: Upon successful completion of the three-month probation period and confirmation of employment, the monthly fixed salary will be revised to ₹19,000, along with continued company-provided accommodation.
- Performance-Based Growth: Following confirmation, the employee will be eligible for salary reviews and increments under the company's regular performance-based appraisal process. Increments will depend on individual performance, responsibilities and company policies.
