Role Description The Healthcare Specialist role at Association Française du Psychotraumatisme et de la Résilience (AFPR) is a full-time, on-site position based in Ernakulam.

The Healthcare

Specialist will provide direct support and care to individuals experiencing psychological trauma and related health concerns, following established medical and psychosocial protocols.

Responsibilities include conducting initial assessments, monitoring patient status, coordinating with multidisciplinary teams, and documenting care activities accurately. The role also involves participating in awareness programs, assisting in training sessions for staff and community members, and contributing to the development of care pathways and resilience-building initiatives.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong healthcare and medicine-related skills, including foundational knowledge in clinical care and patient support.




- Candidates should possess EMT-related skills, with the ability to respond to emergencies and provide basic life support when required.
- Candidates should possess clear and empathetic communication skills, including the ability to work with diverse populations and multidisciplinary teams.
- Candidates should possess training-related skills, such as the ability to assist in or deliver educational sessions for staff, patients, and communities.
- Relevant qualifications such as a diploma or degree in nursing, medicine, psychology, or allied health are preferred.
- Experience in trauma care, mental health services, or community health initiatives is an advantage.
- Ability to manage multiple cases, maintain accurate records, and adhere to ethical and legal standards in healthcare practice.
- Proficiency in local languages and English, and a commitment to continuous career development, are beneficial.
