Experience -Approximately 18-20+ years
Qualification- BE Civil / B.Tech Civil - Mandatory
Preferred Background -Road Construction / Infrastructure Contracting / Civil Contracting, with working knowledge of RCC structures
Reporting To - Operations Head / Director / Management
Work Location -Multiple project sites, primarily Khopoli / Khalapur / Raigad and other assigned locations; office attendance as required
Role ObjectiveThe Head - Projects & Site Operations shall be responsible for the overall operational management, execution, coordination and performance of all assigned projects and project sites of Shreeyash Construction. The role requires complete ownership of project execution, manpower, contractors, materials, machinery, work-front readiness, quality, safety, billing coordination, timelines, resource utilization, cost awareness and management reporting. The person shall regularly travel between project sites, personally review progress and constraints, identify requirements in advance, coordinate with the concerned teams and Management, and drive matters through to closure rather than functioning primarily from the office.
Core Technical Profile· Road and infrastructure works: earthwork, excavation and filling, subgrade, GSB, WMM, DBM, BC / asphalt roads and RCC roads.
· Drainage and infrastructure works: SWD, Hume pipes, culverts, retaining structures, external development and associated infrastructure packages.
· RCC works: foundations, structural RCC, reinforcement, formwork, concreting and associated civil works.
· Ability to understand drawings, BOQs, specifications, construction methodology, quantities, productivity and site constraints.
- Overall Project & Site Operations· Take overall responsibility for the operational performance and execution of all assigned project sites.
· Ensure work is executed as per approved drawings, BOQ, specifications, quality standards, project schedules and committed timelines.
· Coordinate Site Engineers, Project In-Charges, Supervisors, Quality, Billing, Stores, Safety, Planning, contractors and other operational teams.
- Planning, Scheduling & Progress Monitoring· Review daily, weekly and monthly execution plans and monitor planned versus actual progress.
· Identify delays, bottlenecks, dependencies and constraints and initiate corrective or recovery actions.
· Ensure next-day and upcoming activity planning is completed in advance rather than after a work front becomes idle.
· Monitor productivity of manpower, contractors and machinery against project requirements.

· Site constraints and upcoming requirements The role is not intended to be managed only through phone calls or office reviews. Regular physical site presence is expected, particularly for critical activities, delayed work fronts and matters requiring senior-level intervention.

Avoidable delays arising from inadequate planning, late resource identification or lack of coordination shall be proactively prevented.
- Team, Contractor & Labour Management· Lead, guide and coordinate site and operational teams with clear responsibilities, targets and timelines.
· Monitor contractor and subcontractor manpower, productivity, workmanship, quality, progress and timely completion.
· Ensure adequate labour deployment according to project schedules and work fronts.
· Develop Site Engineers and junior staff through practical guidance and disciplined follow-up.
· Maintain site discipline, accountability and an appropriate professional reporting hierarchy.
- Material, Machinery & Resource Planning· Plan cement, steel, aggregates, shuttering materials, road materials, construction materials, machinery and equipment requirements in advance.
· Prevent material shortages, excess consumption, avoidable wastage, unnecessary machinery idling and execution delays.
· Review machinery deployment and output to ensure that resources are commercially and operationally justified.
· Coordinate material and machinery requirements with Purchase / Management before they become critical.
- Budgeting, Site Finance & Cost Control· Review project budgets and monitor expenditure against planned cost.
· Understand labour, subcontractor, machinery, fuel, material and site overhead implications.
· Monitor material consumption, wastage, rework and idle resources.
· Identify potential cost overruns early and report them to Management with corrective options.
· Understand project cash-flow and upcoming site-finance requirements.
· Evaluate the financial impact of execution methods and resource commitments before implementation.
· Support Management with practical cost information for operational decision-making.
- Material Rates & Commercial Understanding· Construction material rates and consumption norms

· Vendor / subcontractor comparisons
· Material wastage and rate implications
· Commercial impact of changes in execution methodology
- Quality & Technical Control· Ensure construction activities comply with approved drawings, specifications, methodology and required quality standards.
· Personally review critical and major activities wherever senior-level technical intervention is required.
· Coordinate with Quality teams for testing, inspection and closure of quality issues.
· Ensure defects, non-conformities and rework are addressed promptly and not allowed to remain unresolved.
- Billing, Quantity & Documentation Coordination· Ensure timely site measurements, JMR / MB, BBS and quantity records.
· Ensure photographs, supporting documents and site records required for client billing are maintained.
· Cordinate site teams for client joint measurements and quantity reconciliation.
· Monitor contractor bill verification and executed quantities from the operational side.
· Ensure billing is not delayed due to missing site measurements, documentation or coordination.
- Client, Consultant & Management Coordination· Coordinate with Clients, Consultants, Architects and other stakeholders on progress, drawings, approvals, variations, technical matters, execution requirements, pending decisions and timelines.
· Escalate critical issues to Management without delay and follow them through until resolution.
· Represent site realities accurately and avoid commitments beyond approved commercial or operational authority.
- Management Reporting & Decision HierarchyThe position shall operate within a clearly defined management reporting structure.
Regular and accurate reporting shall include:
· Daily / weekly progress and planned versus actual status
· Manpower and contractor deployment
· Machinery deployment and requirements
· Major activities and site photographs
· Material requirements and shortages
· Site constraints and delays
· Pending approvals / drawings / client decisions
· Next-day and upcoming activity planning
· Billing / measurement dependencies
· Project expenditure and cash-flow requirements
· Critical operational, commercial and client-related decisions required from Management
- Safety & Site Discipline· Ensure compliance with site safety requirements, PPE usage, housekeeping and safe working practices.
· Ensure unsafe conditions are immediately addressed and corrective actions are implemented.
· Coordinate with Safety personnel while retaining overall operational accountability for safe project execution.
- Risk & Issue Management· Proactively identify project delays, manpower shortages, material shortages, contractor issues, machinery requirements, technical constraints, approval delays and other execution risks.
· Do not limit responsibility to identifying or reporting a problem; coordinate the required action and follow up until closure.
· Escalate matters that require Management intervention early enough to avoid preventable project impact.
- Critical Activity & Extended-Hour ResponsibilityAs a senior project leadership position, the candidate must remain accessible during critical construction activities, major concreting, emergencies and time-sensitive project requirements, including outside normal working hours where reasonably required.

Mandatory Candidate Requirements· BE Civil / B.Tech Civil graduate from a recognized institution - mandatory. Diploma-only profiles will not be considered.
· Approximately 18-20+ years of relevant civil construction experience.
· Strong primary background in road construction and infrastructure works.
· Proven experience handling multiple sites, contractors, manpower, materials and machinery.
· Solid understanding of budgeting, site costs, material rates and construction economics.
· Ability to work within a defined reporting hierarchy with transparency and accountability.
· Strong field orientation; candidate should not be seeking a primarily office-based role.
· Daily transportation from residence to the assigned office / project site / designated reporting point shall be the candidate's responsibility
