About the Role

We're looking for a detail-oriented Operations Intern to run quality checks on spatial data, KML files and CAD drawings. You'll make sure boundaries, layouts and map data are accurate, correctly aligned and ready for delivery. CADD skills and a basic understanding of georeferencing are essential; you'll be trained on GIS tools and our internal QC workflows during the internship. Interns who perform well will be offered a full-time Operations Associate role.

Key Responsibilities

- Perform quality checks on KML/KMZ files for boundary accuracy, correct placement, overlaps, gaps and missing features.
- Verify spatial data against source documents such as survey sketches, site plans, land records and CAD drawings.
- Check georeferenced maps and drawings for alignment, scale and positional accuracy.
- Identify errors in shapes, coordinates, attributes and naming, and correct them or flag them to the team.
- Prepare and edit CAD drawings where needed to support or fix spatial data.
- Maintain QC checklists,



error logs and clear records of corrections made.
- Coordinate with project and field teams to resolve data discrepancies.
- Track QC status and share regular progress updates.

Required Skills & Qualifications

- Diploma or Bachelor's degree (pursuing or completed) in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Planning, Geography or a related field.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD (or equivalent CADD software).
- Basic knowledge of georeferencing.
- Understanding of scales, coordinates and layers.
- Sharp eye for detail and patience for repetitive, accuracy-focused work.
- Working knowledge of MS Excel and Google Sheets.
- Clear written and verbal communication.

- Valuable to Have

- Familiarity with KML/KMZ files or viewing data in Google Earth.
- Understanding of land records, survey data or site plans.
- Any prior project or internship work involving maps or CAD drawings.
