Senior GCP Java Developer

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior GCP Java Developer to join our technology team. The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in designing and developing cloud-native applications using Java and Google Cloud Platform (GCP). This role requires hands-on experience in microservices architecture, modern software engineering practices, cloud deployment, and enterprise-scale application development.

The candidate will work closely with architects, product owners, and cross-functional teams to deliver scalable, secure, and high-performing solutions that support critical business operations.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, develop, and implement scalable cloud-native applications using Java technologies and Google Cloud Platform.
- Develop and maintain microservices-based architectures using Spring Boot and related frameworks.
- Build and integrate RESTful APIs and enterprise application services.
- Utilize GCP services to develop robust, secure, and highly available cloud solutions.
- Collaborate with solution architects and business stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- Optimize application performance, scalability, reliability, and operational efficiency.
- Implement automated build, deployment, and monitoring processes using DevOps best practices.
- Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, and architecture reviews.
- Troubleshoot production issues and provide effective root-cause analysis.
- Ensure adherence to security, compliance, and coding standards.





Required Skills & Qualifications

Technical Skills

- Strong experience in Java 8/11/17
- Hands-on expertise in Spring Boot, Spring MVC, and Microservices Architecture
- Extensive experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
- Experience with:
- Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE)
- Cloud Run
- Pub/Sub
- BigQuery
- Cloud Storage
- Cloud Functions
- Dataflow
- Strong understanding of RESTful API development
- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps methodologies
- Proficiency in Git, Maven, Jenkins, and related development tools
- Strong SQL and database development experience

Qualified Experience
- 8 to 10 years of software development experience
- Experience developing and deploying enterprise-grade cloud applications
- Exposure to large-scale distributed systems and cloud-native architectures
- Experience working within Agile development environments

Preferred Skills
- Exposure to Kafka or other messaging platforms
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform)
- Cloud security and governance knowledge
- Observability and monitoring tools experience
- Experience within Banking, Financial Services, or Payments domain environments
