Role Description The Fixed Asset Manager is responsible for overseeing the complete lifecycle of fixed assets, including acquisition, capitalization, depreciation, transfer, impairment, and disposal. This full-time, on-site role in Chandigarh involves maintaining an accurate fixed asset register, reconciling asset balances with the general ledger, and ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards, tax regulations, and internal policies. The role includes performing periodic physical verification of assets, coordinating with operations and finance teams to validate asset movements,
and preparing detailed reports and schedules for audits and management review.
The Fixed Asset
Manager will also support budgeting and forecasting related to capital expenditure, recommend process improvements for asset tracking and control, and assist in implementing technology-driven solutions to enhance asset management efficiency.
Qualifications
- Solid knowledge of fixed asset accounting, including capitalization, depreciation methods, impairment, and disposals.
- Experience maintaining fixed asset registers and reconciling asset sub-ledgers with the general ledger.
- Understanding of relevant accounting standards (e.g., Ind AS/IFRS), tax rules on depreciation, and statutory compliance requirements.
- Proficiency with accounting and ERP software; comfort working with spreadsheets and asset management tools.
- Attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and ability to interpret financial data for reporting and decision-making.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with finance, operations, and audit teams.
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines, plan asset verification exercises, and maintain organized documentation.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field; professional certifications (e.g., CA/CPA/CMA) are an advantage.
- Prior experience in fixed asset management, audit, or financial reporting within consulting, corporate finance, or similar environments is preferred.
