Role Description The Fixed Term Operator role at Volvo Trucks India is a temporary, in office position based in Bengaluru. The operator will support daily truck production or workshop operations, including handling machinery and tools, performing routine assembly or maintenance tasks,



and following standard operating procedures to meet quality and safety standards.

Responsibilities may include components, reporting defects or deviations, maintaining cleanliness and order in the work area. The role also involves adhering to environmental and safety guidelines, completing required documentation, and collaborating with team members to achieve production targets and service commitments.

Qualifications

- Ability to read and follow technical instructions, production manuals, and standard operating procedures.
- Basic mechanical aptitude and familiarity with tools, equipment, or machinery used in manufacturing or automotive environments.
- Understanding of workplace safety practices, including use of personal protective equipment and adherence to safety protocols.
- Attention to detail for visual inspection of components, identification of defects, and consistent quality of work.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills to coordinate with supervisors, technicians, and other operators.
- Minimum of a relevant vocational qualification, ITI, diploma, or equivalent in mechanical, automotive, paint shop, weld, electrician or related field is preferred.
