Assistant Designer & Founder’s AssistantBorrowed Youth™ is looking for a creative, driven, and detail-oriented Assistant Designer & Founder’s Assistant to join our growing team.

This is a hands-on role for someone who wants to understand not just fashion design, but how a modern fashion brand is actually built from the ground up.

You will work directly with the Founder and be closely involved in the creative and operational side of Borrowed Youth. From developing new products and creating design concepts to assisting with shoots, collections, moodboards, and day-to-day brand activities, you’ll get exposure to multiple aspects of the fashion industry.

What You’ll Do

- Assist the Founder with day-to-day creative and fashion-related tasks.
- Work on new product and apparel concepts, from initial ideas to final execution.
- Create and develop moodboards, references, design concepts, graphics, and product ideas.
- Assist with researching trends, silhouettes, fabrics, colours, prints, and streetwear aesthetics.
- Help with product development and communicate design requirements with manufacturers and vendors.
- Assist with photoshoots, campaign concepts, styling, and creative direction.
- Help prepare product references, tech packs, mockups, and other design-related materials.
- Support the Founder with ongoing brand and collection development.
- Assist with content and creative requirements for social media and marketing campaigns.
- Keep track of ongoing design tasks, samples, revisions, and deadlines.
- Be involved in the day-to-day working of a growing fashion brand and learn how different departments work together.
- Take ownership of tasks and bring new ideas to the table.

Who We’re Looking For
- Someone genuinely interested in fashion, streetwear, design and culture.
- Strong sense of aesthetics and attention to detail.
- Creative mindset with the ability to bring new ideas.
- Good knowledge of current fashion and Gen-Z trends.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, hands-on environment.
- Willing to learn and take responsibility.
- Good communication and organisational skills.
- Basic knowledge of Adobe Illustrator / Photoshop / Canva is a plus.
- Prior experience in fashion design, apparel, or a similar role is a plus, but a strong portfolio and the right attitude matter more than experience.
