Its training and capacity-building programs equip participants with both foundational knowledge and advanced tools to navigate complex and evolving regulatory and sustainability frameworks. The curriculum emphasizes interdisciplinary learning, policy-based insights, and real-world applicability for organizations operating in the rapidly developing ESG and sustainability sector. The Centre serves a diverse professional audience, including senior leadership, in-house counsels, compliance professionals, legal practitioners, line managers, and operational heads engaged in strategic and regulatory dimensions of sustainability and ESG implementation.

THE ROLE

Teach MCMCER's live online certificate programmes to working professionals, with ownership of GHG accounting, verification and ISO 14064 content. You will also spend one dedicated day each week on research that feeds our curriculum, blogs and policy insights.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

- Teach (4 days/week): Deliver live sessions, including weekend cohorts, on ISO 14064 Parts 1-3, GHG Protocol Scope 1/2/3 accounting, and Net Zero. Support delivery of ESG Fundamentals, BRSR,



Materiality Assessment and GRI modules as needed.
- Research (1 day/week): Track regulatory and standards updates (ISO 14064, GHG Protocol, BRSR, ISSB, CSRD, CCTS). Produce case studies, whitepapers and articles for MCMCER's blog and newsletter.
- Prep and evaluation: Build verification templates, checklists and exercises. Grade assignments and give learners specific feedback.
- Programme support: Handle learner queries, contribute to curriculum updates, and join webinars or corporate batches when needed.

REQUIREMENTS

- Mandatory: ISO 14064 qualified (lead verifier or lead auditor certificate preferred), with working command of Parts 1, 2 and 3.
- Education: Master's degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, Engineering, Environmental Law or a related field.
- Experience: 3-5 years in GHG accounting, carbon verification, ESG compliance or sustainability consulting. Teaching or training experience counts.
- Knowledge: GHG Protocol, CDP and PAS 2060. Familiarity with BRSR and GRI is an advantage.
- Skills: Clear live-class delivery, structured writing, and the ability to explain technical standards to non-specialists.
- Availability: Based in Delhi and able to work from the office six days a week, including weekends.

GOOD TO HAVE

- GRI,



AA1000 or GARP SCR certification.
- Prior work with a verification or certification body.
- Published research or articles on climate disclosure or assurance.

Qualifications

- Solid financial and analytical skills, including experience in Finance and Accounting relevant to ESG and sustainability reporting.
- Expertise in Financial Accounting and familiarity with integrating financial data into GHG inventories and ESG disclosures.
- Professional credentials such as Certified Public Accounting (CPA) or equivalent accounting qualifications, with the ability to interpret and apply standards in an ESG context.
- Demonstrated experience in Curriculum Development, especially in technical or regulatory subjects such as GHG accounting, ISO 14064, sustainability, or environmental law.
- Advanced knowledge of GHG protocols, ISO 14064 standards, and ESG frameworks, with experience in corporate or institutional implementation.
- Excellent teaching, communication, and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts to diverse professional audiences.
- Master’s degree or higher in finance, accounting, environmental management, sustainability, law, or a related discipline; doctoral qualifications are an advantage.
- Experience in ESG reporting, assurance, or sustainability consulting
