The Duty Manager is a full-time, on-site role located in Puducherry, responsible for overseeing day-to-day hotel operations during assigned shifts. This role includes supervising front office activities, coordinating with housekeeping and food and beverage teams, and ensuring that guest check-in, check-out, and inquiries are handled efficiently.

The Duty

Manager responds to guest feedback and incidents, supports resolution of service issues, and ensures adherence to hotel policies and safety standards. Daily responsibilities also involve monitoring occupancy, assisting with reservations, guiding team members, and maintaining a professional, customer-focused environment throughout the property.

Qualifications

- Robust customer service and guest relations skills,



with the ability to handle queries, complaints, and special requests professionally.
- Experience in hotel operations or front office supervision, including check-in/check-out procedures, reservations, and cash handling.
- Solid communication and interpersonal skills to coordinate effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders.
- Organizational and problem-solving abilities to manage multiple tasks, prioritize responsibilities, and respond to operational issues promptly.
- Leadership qualities, including team guidance, performance support, and maintaining a respectful, inclusive work environment.
- Basic knowledge of hotel management systems (PMS) and standard office software such as email, spreadsheets, and word processing tools.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, based on operational needs.
- Diploma or degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field preferred; prior supervisory experience in hospitality is an advantage.
- Familiarity with safety, security, and emergency procedures in a hotel setting is beneficial.
