Role Description The Domestic School Group Travel Operations Manager is a temporary, on-site role based in the Kolkata metropolitan area. This role involves planning, organizing, and overseeing domestic school group travel programs, including coordinating itineraries, transport, accommodation, and activities in alignment with educational objectives. The manager will liaise with school representatives, vendors, and local partners to ensure safe, smooth, and engaging experiences for students and staff.

Day-to-day responsibilities include managing bookings, handling documentation, monitoring budgets, resolving on-ground issues, and providing clear communication before, during, and after trips. The role also requires maintaining compliance with safety protocols, managing feedback from schools, and continuously improving operational processes for future programs.

Qualifications





- Experience in travel operations or event management, preferably with school groups or educational programs.
- Strong skills in logistics planning, coordination, and on-ground execution of group travel.
- Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with schools, parents, vendors, and internal teams.
- Demonstrated capacity to manage multiple programs simultaneously, handle pressure, and respond quickly to changing situations.
- Knowledge of safety standards, risk management practices, and compliance requirements for student travel.
- Proficiency with basic office software, online booking tools, and digital communication platforms.
- Relevant academic background in travel and tourism, hospitality, education management, or a related field is preferred.
- Prior experience working in the Kolkata region or familiarity with domestic student travel destinations in India is an advantage.
