Role Overview

- We are seeking an experienced, visionary and hands on DataOps Leader to lead the strategy, transformation, engineering, operations, and modernization of our enterprise data ecosystem.
- This role will be a critical member of the Data &
- Analytics leadership team and will be responsible for driving the organization's Data Estate Transformation agenda, evolving our current Hadoop based data platform into a modern, scalable, and future ready architecture leveraging Apache Iceberg, lakehouse principles, cloud native services, and advanced automation capabilities.
- The successful candidate will lead engineering teams responsible for enterprise data platforms operating across a hybrid landscape comprising both on premises and cloud infrastructure.
- The role requires deep expertise in large scale data engineering, distributed data processing, platform operations, DataOps, platform automation, and enterprise architecture.
- A key focus of the role will be driving automation across the entire Data Engineering lifecycle, establishing Agentic Data Engineering crews modern engineering practices, reusable frameworks, intelligent operations, and highly automated data platforms that improve reliability, scalability, and engineering productivity.
- This leader will work closely with GenAIOps, MLOps, AI Engineering, Data Science, Enterprise Architecture, and Infrastructure teams to establish the enterprise data foundation required to support analytics, machine learning, generative AI, and emerging Agentic AI capabilities.
- The role will also drive the organization's Agentic Data Engineering strategy, leveraging AI powered automation and autonomous engineering capabilities to transform how data platforms are built, managed, monitored, and optimized.
- As a senior leader within the Hyderabad GCC, this individual will be responsible for building and mentoring high performing teams, driving technology strategy, influencing enterprise architecture decisions, and establishing the data platform as a strategic enabler for business growth, innovation, and AI adoption.





Your future duties and responsibilities
- Own the enterprise Data &
- Analytics strategy, driving the vision, roadmap, architecture, and modernization of data platforms while partnering with business and technology leaders.
- Lead Data Estate Transformation, including migrating from legacy Hadoop environments to modern Lakehouse platforms (Apache Iceberg), establishing future state architecture, governance, and operating models.
- Manage enterprise scale Data Engineering and Platform Engineering, ensuring secure, scalable, resilient, and cost effective batch, streaming, real time, and event driven data solutions.
- Drive DataOps and Automation adoption through CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code, automated testing, observability, monitoring, self service capabilities, and operational excellence practices.
- Champion Agentic AI and AI enabled Data Engineering, leveraging AI driven automation, enabling AI ready data foundations, and supporting GenAI, MLOps, intelligent search, and agentic solutions.
- Ensure operational excellence and service reliability, including platform operations, incident/problem management, security, governance, compliance, performance optimization, and budget management.
- Build and lead high performing engineering teams, responsible for hiring, mentoring, talent development, succession planning, and fostering a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Required Qualifications To Be Successful In This Role

- Bachelor's/Master's degree in computer science, Engineering, Mathematics, Information Technology, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
- 15+ years of progressive experience in Data Engineering, Big Data Platforms, Data Architecture, Cloud Engineering, or related technology domains.
- Hands on engineering leader with extensive experience in building and modernizing large scale Hadoop Ecosystem based and distributed Data Platforms.
- Passionate about coding, experimenting with emerging technologies, and leveraging open source frameworks, with demonstrated success in translating technical innovation into tangible outcomes for data driven organizations.
- Demonstrated experience driving migration from traditional Hadoop based architectures to up-to-date Data Lakehouse/Open table (ex.

Apache

Iceberg) format platforms.

- Deep expertise in Spark, PySpark, SQL, distributed data processing, and enterprise scale data engineering.
- Hands On with Hadoop ecosystem technologies such as HDFS, Hive, Spark, Kafka, YARN, Impala, Airflow, and related components.
- Experience enabling analytics, machine learning, Generative AI,



Coversational AI and Agentic AI workloads through scalable and governed data platforms.
- AI Ontology &
- Knowledge Architecture: Proven experience designing and implementing enterprise scale AI ontology frameworks, semantic data models, and knowledge graph architectures to enable AI/GenAI use cases, data interoperability, contextual reasoning, and governance across complex business domains.

Expertise with Azure and/or other cloud platforms, DataOps, CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code, platform automation, observability, and monitoring.

- Elastic Log Data &
- Observability Platforms: Deep expertise in architecting and scaling Elastic Stack (ELK) based log analytics and observability platforms, enabling real time monitoring, distributed systems diagnostics, operational intelligence, security analytics, and large scale telemetry data management.
- Strong understanding of Open Source data architectures, metadata management, governance, lineage, and other data governance frameworks.

Strong stakeholder management, communication, leadership, and organizational skills.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience implementing enterprise scale Apache Iceberg platforms.
- Knowledge of Agentic AI concepts, AI orchestration frameworks, and autonomous workflow capabilities.
- Databricks, Cloudera, AWS, or related cloud/platform certifications.
- Experience building Data Engineering Centres of Excellence within a GCC environment.
- Experience driving enterprise AI transformation and AI platform enablement initiatives.
- Familiarity with modern MLOps, GenAIOps, AIOps, and Agentic AI frameworks and practices.
