Role Purpose The DGM –

- Contracts &
- Commercial will be responsible for end-to-end contract management, commercial administration, cost optimization, procurement support, claims management, and subcontractor/vendor commercial governance for utility-scale wind power projects. The role will ensure commercial compliance, mitigate contractual risks, maximize project value, and support timely project execution while maintaining adherence to company policies and project budgets.

Key ResponsibilitiesContract Management

- Lead the preparation, review, negotiation, and administration of EPC, BoP, supply, erection, O&M;, logistics, and consultancy contracts for wind projects.
- Develop contract strategies aligned with project schedules and business objectives.
- Ensure compliance with contractual obligations by all stakeholders.
- Monitor contract deliverables, milestones, guarantees, and payment terms.

Commercial Management

- Drive commercial and cost-control activities throughout the project lifecycle.
- Review project budgets, forecasts, and actual costs to identify deviations and mitigation plans.
- Analyze commercial risks and recommend strategies for cost optimization.
- Support management in financial planning and project profitability enhancement.





Procurement &

- Vendor Management

- Collaborate with Procurement teams for vendor selection and contract finalization.
- Evaluate commercial bids and prepare techno-commercial comparison statements.
- Support negotiations with OEMs, contractors, and key suppliers.
- Monitor vendor performance against commercial commitments.

Claims &

- Change Order Management

- Manage contractual claims, variation orders, change requests, and commercial disputes.
- Prepare claim documentation and coordinate resolution with contractors and project teams.
- Minimize project exposure through proactive contract administration.
- Lead commercial discussions relating to delays, extensions of time, liquidated damages, and compensation events.

Cost Control &

- Project Monitoring

- Track project commitments, expenditures, and cash flow requirements.
- Review contractor bills and certify payments as per contractual provisions.
- Establish project commercial dashboards and performance reports.
- Monitor cost trends and recommend corrective actions.

Risk &

- Compliance

- Identify commercial and contractual risks during project execution.
- Ensure compliance with company policies,



statutory regulations, and contractual requirements.
- Support internal and external audits related to project commercial activities.
- Maintain documentation for contractual governance and dispute avoidance.

Stakeholder Management

- Coordinate closely with Project Management, Engineering, Finance, SCM, Legal, and Site teams.
- Support senior management with commercial insights and decision-making inputs.
- Develop strong relationships with contractors, consultants, OEMs, and external stakeholders.

Key Deliverables

- Timely contract execution and administration.
- Effective cost management within approved budgets.
- Successful closure of claims and variation orders.
- Reduction in commercial risks and contractual disputes.
- Improved vendor commercial performance.
- Accurate project commercial reporting and forecasting.

Educational Qualification

- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Mechanical/Electrical/Civil) is preferred.
- MBA (Finance/Operations) / PGDM preferred.
- Additional qualification in Contracts, Commercial Management, Arbitration, or Construction Law will be an advantage.

Experience

- 15-20 years of experience in Contracts &
- Commercial functions.
- Minimum 8-10 years of experience in utility-scale Renewable Energy projects, preferably Wind.
- Experience in EPC, BoP, transmission infrastructure, and project execution contracts.
- Robust exposure to claim management, contract negotiation, and cost control in large infrastructure projects.
