Position: Dean – Student Welfare

Experience: Minimum 15 years of overall professional experience, with at least 7 years of demonstrated experience in Student Welfare/Student Affairs within a University/Higher Education institution.

Qualification:Ph.D. mandatory The Dean – Student Welfare will provide strategic leadership for the university’s student welfare ecosystem, ensuring a protected, inclusive, supportive and positive campus environment. The role will oversee student welfare initiatives, grievance resolution, student engagement and wellbeing while ensuring effective coordination across relevant university departments.

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead and strengthen the Student Welfare function across the university.
- Develop and implement comprehensive student welfare and engagement strategies aligned with institutional objectives.
- Serve as a senior point of escalation for student grievances, ensuring timely, fair and transparent resolution.
- Establish effective grievance-resolution mechanisms with clear ownership, follow-up and closure.
- Promote a positive, safe and student-centric campus culture.




- Oversee initiatives related to student wellbeing, inclusion, engagement, participation and overall campus experience.
- Work closely with academic, administrative, hostel, security and other departments to address student concerns effectively.
- Lead and mentor the Student Welfare/Student Affairs team, building a strong and accountable leadership structure.

Ideal Candidate:

- Ph.D. is mandatory with a strong academic/higher-education background.
- Minimum 15 years of professional experience, including 7+ years specifically in Student Welfare/Student Affairs at a university.
- Proven leadership and team-management experience in a senior university position.
- Strong expertise in student grievance handling, welfare systems, student engagement and campus wellbeing.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, conflict-resolution and stakeholder-management skills.
- Ability to build a positive, responsive and student-centric campus environment.
