Job Summary

We have an immediate requirement for a Data Analytics Engineer with strong hands-on experience in Snowflake, Snowpark, SQL, data modeling, API ingestion, and Gold-layer development.

The ideal candidate will be a Lead/Architect-level, hands-on Data Engineer who can independently own deliverables, identify data quality issues, challenge inconsistent business logic, and translate complex data structures into business-ready reporting solutions.

This is a hands-on engineering role. We are specifically looking for Snowflake Data Engineers and not candidates focused primarily on Snowflake architecture or administration.

Key Responsibilities

- Build and enhance the Gold layer within the Snowflake Medallion Architecture.
- Develop and maintain data pipelines using Snowpark and APIs.
- Create and manage data models supporting business reporting and analytics.
- Build and refine Sigma Analytics dashboards and reporting solutions.
- Work with operational data, including offices, patients, and appointment-related information.
- Consume API data sources and build ingestion pipelines within Snowflake.
- Potentially perform API POST calls directly from Snowflake as part of pipeline development.
- Translate existing data structures into business-ready reporting tables.

- Compare legacy and modernized datasets during migration efforts and identify discrepancies.
- Validate KPI calculations and ensure business definitions are applied consistently.
- Proactively identify and flag data inconsistencies and issues that do not align with expected business logic.
- Support Snowflake governance and security initiatives.
- Present technical findings and recommendations through an established request process.
- Collaborate with existing Snowflake resources while independently owning assigned deliverables.

Current Environment & Challenges
- The organization is building out its Snowflake analytics environment and implementing Sigma Analytics as its reporting platform.
- The majority of the initial work will focus on the Gold layer.
- Core data and foundational architecture are already in place.
- The primary challenge is producing business-ready tables and reporting assets.
- The organization is migrating away from a legacy system, and data inconsistencies exist between legacy and modernized environments.
- Candidates must be comfortable identifying and reconciling discrepancies between datasets.
- KPI definitions are not always standardized, so the candidate must be able to investigate, question, and validate business logic.

Required Skills

- Strong hands-on Snowflake experience
- Strong hands-on Snowpark experience
- Advanced SQL
- Strong data modeling experience
- Experience developing the Gold layer
- Strong understanding of Medallion Architecture
- Experience with API ingestion and API-based data pipelines
- Experience creating business-ready analytics datasets
- Strong data validation and reconciliation experience
- Experience validating KPIs and business logic
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to independently own technical deliverables

Preferred Skills

- Sigma Analytics / Sigma Computing
- Healthcare/healthcare operations data experience
- Experience working with patient, appointment, office, or similar operational data
- Experience performing API POST calls from Snowflake
- Snowflake governance and security experience
- Legacy-to-modern data migration and reconciliation experience

Ideal Candidate
- Lead/Architect-level candidate with strong hands-on development experience
- Strong Snowflake and Snowpark expertise
- Capable of designing solutions while remaining hands-on with development
- Able to identify and challenge inconsistent business logic rather than simply building to specification
- Robust ownership, analytical thinking, and problem-solving ability

Note: Candidates who are primarily Snowflake Administrators or non-hands-on Snowflake Architects are not suitable for this position. Follow us to get more job updates: https://www.linkedin.com/company/hyr-global-source-inc
