About usAlphextra is a quant HFT firm running systematic, alpha-generating strategies across Indian exchanges (NSE, BSE, MCX) and crypto markets. We are a small team trading real capital in live markets. Every person here owns something that matters, and nobody is a cog.

The roleCrypto markets never close, and neither do our strategies. You will be the person watching them when they run, including nights, weekends and the hours most people sleep through.

Your job is to catch problems before they cost money: a strategy behaving oddly, an exchange API degrading, a position that does not reconcile, a risk limit getting close. You act on what you see, escalate the right things to the right people, and leave a clean record of what happened. This role suits candidates early in their career as well as those with a few years on a trading desk; we filter on judgement and reliability, not years.

What you'll do

- Monitor live crypto trading strategies on major centralised exchanges in real time: orders, fills, positions, PnL, margin and risk limits.
- Spot and respond to anomalies: rejected orders, stuck or orphaned positions, unusual slippage, funding or liquidation risk, API errors, exchange outages or maintenance windows.
- Follow and improve runbooks: pause or flatten strategies when rules say so, and escalate to traders and engineers with a clear summary of what happened.
- Run reconciliations of positions, balances and transfers across exchange accounts and internal records, and chase down any break.
- Write tight shift handovers and incident logs, and suggest new alerts or checks when you see a gap.

What we're looking forMust-haves





- Hands-on familiarity with crypto trading: you have traded, monitored bots or desks, or worked in crypto ops, and you know spot, perpetual futures, funding rates, margin and liquidation.
- Willingness to work rotating shifts, including nights and weekends, on a regular basis.
- Sharp attention to detail and calm under pressure. When something breaks at 3am, you follow the process and think clearly.
- Strong Excel or Google Sheets skills, and comfort reading dashboards, logs and exchange account pages.
- Explicit written English. Your handover notes are read by people who were asleep when it happened.
- Based in, or willing to relocate to, Gurgaon.

Nice-to-haves

- Basic Python or SQL for checks, scripts and reconciliations.
- Some understanding of exchange APIs (REST, WebSocket), rate limits and order types.
- Prior work on a trading, risk or ops desk, in crypto or traditional markets (NSE, BSE, MCX).

Shifts and locationThis is a Gurgaon-based, work-from-office role during standard hours. Night and other off-hours shifts can be worked from home when required, so you will need a reliable internet connection, a backup connection and a quiet place to work. Shifts rotate, and we will share the roster and shift pattern during the interview process.
