Collection Manager

Industry: Banking / NBFC / Financial Services The Collection Manager is responsible for managing the collections and recovery process for overdue loan accounts while ensuring portfolio quality and minimizing delinquency. The role includes handling collection teams, coordinating with agencies, monitoring recovery performance, and ensuring compliance with company and regulatory guidelines. The candidate will be responsible for achieving monthly recovery targets, reducing NPAs, and maintaining robust customer relationships through effective negotiation and resolution strategies. Key Responsibilities

- Manage end-to-end collections and recovery operations for assigned portfolios
- Monitor bucket-wise delinquency and ensure timely recovery of overdue payments
- Handle and guide field collection executives and external agencies
- Achieve monthly collection and recovery targets
- Conduct customer visits and negotiate repayment plans or settlements




- Prepare MIS reports related to recovery performance and portfolio status
- Coordinate with legal, credit, and operations teams for escalated cases
- Ensure compliance with RBI and company collection policies
- Maintain portfolio quality and control NPA levels

Required Skills

- Strong negotiation and communication skills
- Team handling and leadership ability
- Knowledge of collections, recovery, and delinquency management
- Good understanding of banking/NBFC products
- Proficiency in MS Excel and MIS reporting
- Ability to work under pressure and achieve targets

Eligibility

- Graduate/Post Graduate in any discipline
- 3–6 years of experience in collections/recovery in Banking or NBFC sector
- Experience in handling field collections and agency management preferred (Indeed)
